explanation of assertion (A)
(c) Assertion (A) is true but reason (R) is false.
(d) Assertion (A) is false but reason (R) is true.
Section B
(Each question carries 2 marks)
7. ∠𝐴𝑂𝐶 and ∠𝐵𝑂𝐶 form a linear pair. If the difference between these two angles is 20°,
find the measures of these angles.
8. In the given figure, OD is the bisector of ∠AOC, OE is the bisector of ∠BOC and OD ⊥ OE.
Show that the points A, O and B are collinear.
9. If the bisectors of a pair of corresponding angles formed by a transversal with two given
lines are parallel, prove that the given lines are parallel.
10. In fig: 𝑃𝑄∥𝑅𝑆, ∠𝑃𝐴𝐵=70 °, ∠𝐴𝐶𝑆=100°. Find the measure of ∠𝐴BC and ∠B𝐴𝐶.
Section C
(Each question carries 3 marks)
11. In the given figure, 𝐴𝐵||𝐶𝐷 and a transversal t cuts them at 𝐸 and 𝐹 respectively. If 𝐸𝐺

the two angles are either equal or supplementary.
18. In the given figure, m and n are two plane mirrors perpendicular to each other. An
incident ray PQ strikes the mirror m at Q, gets reflected along QR and then strikes the
mirror n at R and finally gets reflected along RS. Prove that PQ II RS.
