ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Engineering is a branch of Science and Technology where society expects lots of innovation and creativity
from engineers. But today’s education system has become very stereotype which just follows the traditional
teaching learning process. This needs to be change in order to have maximum contribution from engineering
students to the Society.

First of all we conclude that our group and the topic we worked on was helped by our guides. Our guide
prof. Falguni Patel and Head of Department prof. Bijal Talati is very knowledgeable and helpful. We also
want to specially thank prof. Hiren Raval for the instructions and special guidance. They cleared our basic of
this topic and provided right direction during making of this project.

Design Engineering is a general term that covers multiple engineering disciplines including Information
Technology engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, aeronautical engineers, civil engineers,
computer engineers, Information technology and structural/building/architectural engineers. The uniting
concept is a focus on applying the ‘engineering design process, in which engineers develop new products or
processes with a primary emphasis on functional utility.

While industrial designers may be responsible for the conceptual aesthetic and ergonomic aspects of a
design, the design engineer usually works with a team of engineers and other designers to develop
conceptual and detailed designs. They may work with industrial designers and marketers to develop the
product concept and specifications, and may direct the design effort.

1. INTRODUCTION

An automatic answer checker website that checks and marks written answers similar to a human
being. This website is built to check subjective answers in an online examination and allocate marks to the
user after verifying the answer. The system requires you to store the original answer for the system. This
facility is provided to the admin. The admin may insert questions and respective subjective answers in the
system. These answers are stored as notepad files. When a user takes the test, he is provided with questions
and area to type his answers or choose m.c.q.
Once the user enters his/her answers the system then compares this answer to original answer written
in database and allocates marks accordingly. Both the answers need not be exactly same, word to word. The
system consists of in built artificial intelligence sensors that verify answers and allocate marks accordingly
as good as a human being.

AEIOU Canvas

A – Activity

Activities are goal directed sets of actions—paths towards things people want to accomplish.
What are the modes people work in, and the specific activities and processes they go through? In this
part we go at our domain related places and then we observe different activities happening at that
places.

In this part we put activities like user authentication , admin authentication , answer checking , marks
allocation , rechecking

pg. 7
E – ENVIRONMENT

Environments include the entire arena where activities take place. What is the character and
function of the space overall, of each individual's spaces, and of shared spaces?

In this part we describe the environment of digital workshop , virtual classroom , social media

pg. 8
I – INTERECTIONS

Interactions are between a person and someone or something else; they are the building blocks of
activities. What is the nature of routine and special interactions between people; between people and
objects in their environment, and across distances?

Ex:-

- Student & teacher

- Teacher & investor

O – OBJECT
Objects are building blocks of the environment, key elements sometimes put to complex
or unintended uses (thus changing their function, meaning and context). What are the objects and
devices people have in their environments and how do they relate to their activities?

Ex:- MCQ , Answer variety, Question List

pg. 9

2.Mind Mapping Canvas

Mind mapping canvas is a highly effective way of getting information in and out of our brain. Mind
mapping is a creative and logical means of note-taking and note-making that literally “Maps Out” our ideas.

We thought of this system when we saw some students of the 12th Science who had problems about
understanding concept of Chemistry and got confused in chemistry. We wanted to help Students to get
understand the Chemistry. We indirectly also helped the Teachers, Lab assistants and Chemical industry
related workers to gain more information about their specialized field.

pg. 13
3. Empathy Canvas

- Empathy mapping is such a canvas which helps to the people who are finding the solution of a
problem, how they are attached with their product.

- How their feelings are attached with their solution.

- It helps the solution that what are the stake holders, the users, the activities.

- Its attachment canvas to decide exact user.

- Stakeholder of a solution.

- Activities doing by the product.

- Empathy mapping canvas can also called attachment canvas.

- It shows how the problem solver is directly or indirectly attached with the solution.

- In the empathy mapping, our empathy is related to designing and making a prototype of Chemical
Reaction application. We tried doing it at best.

USERS
The User of our product are
1. Student
2. Teacher

pg. 14
STAKEHOLDERS
These stakeholders are people which are directly and indirectly related to our product. They provided
funding for row material. Some other common people involved are as below:

School: Students can learn quickly from our app through their phone.

College: Students can learn quickly from our app through their phone.

Industries: The industries can get accurate product of the chemicals.

Production Engineering: The workers can get exact knowledge without wasting time to read whole book.

pg. 15
STORY BOARDING

In this Empathy canvas, there are two types of stories available as HAPPY stories and SAD stories.
First we discussed about HAPPY story.

HAPPY
In first scenario we have discussed a story about a situation happened to a student of a 12 th standard.
At the end of the year he has not prepared for his exams and didn’t had any books of his chemistry. Just
before two days before exam he got idea to download the application and prepared from it. Finally, he
passed the exams with good score.

In second scenario we have discussed a story about an industry named Pranami Drugs Private
Limited. A responsible employee of the company suggested the workers of the company who shall have
very less knowledge of the chemicals, to use this app to gain information.

SAD
In first scenario we have discussed a story of a student named Jayesh who is weak in chemistry.
Every of his friends knew how to balance the chemical equations but he couldn’t so he got scolded from his
teacher often.
In second scenario we have discussed about a Lab assistant who had to refer a lot of books,
references, literatures, research papers, internet surfing etc. So he got too less time for his own stuffs.
From the Empathy Canvas, we know about the technologies and working scheme related to the sheet
fabricating technics and attaching the sheets with aircraft structure for now.

pg. 17
3.Ideation Canvas

In the ideation canvas, we provided you the knowledge related to work out by the peoples, their
situations, problems during the workout and their solutions too.

- People = user

- Activities = work done by product or work done nearby your product.

- Situation / location = where your product will work, or how it will work.

PEOPLE

In this portion, we see about the person who works around this field. Manager handles all the problem
regarding this all sector like how to provide a product to the customer and after using that product will take
feedback related to that product and will carry out their product with that updates of the app.

Chairman is also known some time as the chairperson, chairwoman or sometime chair only, is the
highest officer of an organization group such as a programmer, committee, or a deliberative assembly. The
chairperson responsible for the all higher decisions taken by the committee members.

Product Designer is the person who designs. In another way we can says that, a designer is an agent that
“specifies the structural properties of a design object.” With the increasing complexity of the society, and
due to needs of mass production where more time usually associated with more cost, the production methods
become more complex and with them the way designs and their production are created. The classic areas are
now subdivided in smaller and more specialized domain of design according to the product designed and
perhaps its means of production.

Investor is a person who allocates capital with the expectations of a financial return. Someone who
provides a business with capital and someone who buy stoke are both investors.

pg. 18
ACTIVITIES

In the activities section, we mentioned all the work done by us and our helpers during this time.

pg. 27
REJECT, RETAIN AND REDESIGN
In this section we discuss about that things, which is not set in our mind and mistakes happened
during the designs.
The point to reject this project can be the slow transmission problem. But we decided to retain it as
we got positive reviews from the users. We will redesign the Interface, we will make sure that it is not
complex to use. As it has a better connectivity, we will retain this.

5.Conclusion
Examinations play a very important role in colleges, universities and various other
educationation institutes. Many educational institutes have their examinations conducted online,But these
exams only contains multiple choice questions which are providing to be very efficient in testing the
student aptitude, on the other hand fail to measure the conceptual knowledge a student or learner must
possess. Therefore subjective answer must be included in online examinations. The proposed system
evaluates the answer based on the keywords. By comparing the standard answer and the student's answer
marks obtained if the student utilizes all the keywords mentioned in the standard answer. Hence the said
system could be of great utility to the educators whenever they need to take a quick test for revision
purpose,as it saves them the trouble of evaluating the bundle of papers. In future we are planning to
evaluate subjective answer with diagrams and mathematical expressions. The current system only
evaluates answer written in English. Further it can be extended to evaluate answer written in other
languages also.
