Job Title: Lead Structural Engineer/Chief Structural Engineer

Education: M.Tech in Structural Engineering from a reputed university (IITs/NITs or equivalent)

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly experienced Structural Engineers for various positions in our team/lead
the design and review of underground and elevated metro structures, including stations,
tunnels, viaducts, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical
expertise, leadership qualities, and a solid academic foundation, having graduated with an
M.Tech in Structural Engineering from a top-tier institute.
Key Responsibilities:

 Lead and manage the structural design of elevated and underground metro
components, including viaducts, cut-and-cover structures, NATM tunnels,
diaphragm walls, and stations.

 Perform detailed structural analysis and design using software like STAAD.Pro,
MIDAS, ETABS, PLAXIS, SAFE, and SAP2000.

 Ensure compliance with relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocodes, AASHTO, UIC, etc.) and
metro rail authority standards (e.g., DMRC, MMRC, BMRCL).

 Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural, and MEP teams to resolve interface


challenges in underground and elevated systems.

 Review and validate designs, drawings, and construction methodologies submitted


by contractors or sub consultants.

 Conduct independent design reviews (IDR) and peer checks for structural safety,
serviceability, and constructability.

 Provide technical support during construction, including resolution of site queries,


RFI responses, and attending technical meetings.

 Lead design optimization and value engineering initiatives to improve project


e iciency and cost-e ectiveness.

 Guide and mentor a team of junior engineers and drafters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 M.Tech in Structural Engineering from IITs, NITs, or equivalent top-tier institutions.

 15–20 years of proven experience in the structural design of metro projects,


including both underground and elevated structures.

 Proficiency in software tools: STAAD.Pro, ETABS, MIDAS Civil, SAFE, SAP2000,


PLAXIS, AutoCAD, etc.

 Strong understanding of soil-structure interaction, seismic design, and dynamic


analysis.
 Familiarity with construction techniques such as UG Consulting – Top Down,
Bottom Up; TBM, NATM, segmental launching, cantilever construction, etc.

 Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

 Experience working with metro authorities like DMRC, MMRC, L&T Metro, RMRCL, or
similar is highly desirable.
