Activity Title:
Designing Instructional Materials and Technology-Enhanced Module
Prototype for Business Training
Activity Description:
Using the findings from your previously developed Trainees’ Needs Analysis and Learner
Persona, you will now design a prototype training module tailored to address the identified gaps
using instructional design principles and technology-enhanced tools.
This activity integrates instructional systems design, adult learning theory, and business training
needs, allowing you to apply theory to a practical training context within your workplace or
industry of interest.
Learning Objectives Addressed:
• Apply instructional design principles in creating training content.
• Integrate technology tools that enhance learner engagement and performance.
• Design a prototype module based on authentic workplace training needs.
Required Output:
Submit a Module Prototype consisting of the following components:
Required Components:
1. Cover Page
• Title of Training Module
• Target Audience (e.g., Sales Associates, Supervisors, New Hires)
• Designed by: [Your Name]
• Organization/Industry Context
2. Training Overview
• Background of the Module: Brief rationale tied to learner needs
• Learning Objectives (minimum 3, aligned with Bloom’s Taxonomy)
• Target Learners Description: Summary of persona and context
• Estimated Duration
• Delivery Mode (e.g., blended, asynchronous eLearning, microlearning)
3. Lesson Plan / Module Content Structure
Section Description
Introduction Icebreaker, motivation, relevance to learners
Content Delivery Instructional text, multimedia (e.g., video, infographic), links
Section Description
Activity/Task Interactive quiz, simulation, drag-and-drop, discussion forum
Assessment Formative or summative (quiz, reflection, checklist)
Feedback & Wrap-Up Key takeaways, feedback mechanism
4. Technology Integration
Describe or embed technology-enhanced tools used, such as:
• Learning Management System (LMS)
• Google Forms/Slides for formative assessments
• Genially, Canva, Nearpod, H5P for interactivity
• Kahoot!, Mentimeter, Padlet, etc.
Include at least 2 interactive or digital elements in your module prototype (e.g.,
sample Genially page, embedded quiz, screen recording, or link to a mock-up page).
5. Sample Pages or Screenshots
Add visual documentation (screenshots or sample slides/pages) of the module.
