1. Environment refers to the natural world or ecosystem in which living organisms,
including humans, interact with one another and their surroundings. / The
environment encompasses all the external factors surrounding and affecting an
organism, including both natural and human-made elements.

2. Humans affect in 5 different ways and these are: Habitat Destruction,

Pollution, Climate Change, Overexploitation and Invasive Species.

3. The Great Barrier Reef, located off the coast of Queensland, Australia, is the
world's largest coral reef system. It has been severely impacted by human
activities, leading to significant damage to the environment and biodiversity. The
primary factors contributing to its decline include: climate change, Pollution,
Overfishing and Tourism.
The consequences are loss of biodiversity, economic impact and ecosystem
services.
Possibles Solutions for the Great Barrier Reef are: Climate Action, Pollution
Control, Fisheries Management, Tourism Regulation and Restoration and
Research.

Science
1.Natural factors include volcanic eruptions, forest fires, and seismic activity.
Man-made factors include air, water and soil pollution caused by industrial,
agricultural and urban activities, as well as the generation of solid and chemical
waste.
2. Man-made factors that pollute ecosystems can be classified according to
several criteria:
1 . According to the polluted medium:
Air, water and soil.
2 . According to the origin of the pollution:
Industrial, agricultural and urban.
3 . According to the type of pollutant:
Chemical, biological and physical.
4 . According to persistence and extent:
Point and diffuse.

3. Human activities that promote pollution of ecosystems are:

Industry: Gas emissions and waste discharges.

Agriculture: Use of agrochemicals and waste management.
Urbanization: Vehicular emissions, wastewater discharges and waste generation.
Exploitation of natural resources: Mining and logging.
Tourism: Direct environmental impact and waste generation.
These activities can cause air, water and soil contamination, negatively affecting
biodiversity and human health.

4.Pollution is the introduction of harmful substances or agents into the

environment from both natural sources and human activities. These substances
can alter the balance of ecosystems, deteriorate the quality of air, water and soil,
and negatively affect the health of living beings, including humans. Pollution is a
global problem that requires management and reduction measures to preserve
the health of the environment and ensure a sustainable future.

Sociales

acumular capital y maximizar ganancias.

Social Studies
Human activities can negatively impact the environment and biodiversity in several
ways:
1. Habitat Destruction: Clearing forests and natural landscapes for agriculture,
urbanization, and infrastructure development leads to habitat loss and
fragmentation.
2. Pollution: Emissions from industrial activities, vehicles, and agriculture contaminate
air, water, and soil, harming ecosystems and species.
3. Climate Change: Burning fossil fuels and deforestation contribute to global warming,
altering weather patterns and disrupting habitats.
4. Overexploitation: Unsustainable fishing, hunting, and resource extraction deplete
populations of species and destabilize ecosystems.
5. Invasive Species: Introduction of non-native species disrupts ecosystems and
threatens native biodiversity.
6. Land Use Change: Converting natural areas into agricultural or urban landscapes
disrupts ecosystems and reduces habitat availability.
7. Water Use: Excessive extraction and pollution of water sources harm aquatic habitats
and species.
8. Waste Generation: Improper disposal of waste contaminates soil, water, and air,
posing risks to both humans and the environment.
9. Fragmentation and Isolation: Infrastructure development fragments habitats,
isolating populations and reducing genetic diversity.
10. Urbanization: Expansion of cities leads to habitat loss, pollution, and disruption of
ecosystems.
These impacts emphasize the need for sustainable practices and conservation efforts to
protect the environment and biodiversity.

Science
The current lifestyle, characterized by excessive use of single-use products
such as plastics, negatively impacts terrestrial and marine ecosystems in
several ways:
1. Plastic Pollution: The accumulation of plastic waste contaminates the
environment and poses a threat to wildlife.
2. Impact on Wildlife: Animals may ingest or become entangled in plastic
waste, suffering injuries or death.
3. Soil Degradation: Plastic waste affects soil quality and the health of
microorganisms.
4. Water Pollution: Plastics contaminate aquatic ecosystems, affecting
aquatic life and water quality.
5. Effects on the Food Chain: Plastic waste can enter the food chain, causing
toxin accumulation and affecting humans.
It is essential to adopt more sustainable consumption practices and reduce
plastic use to protect the environment and biodiversity.
