Project Kickoff Workshop Objectives
Project Scope
Project Scope refers to:
• The boundaries of the ERP implementation: what is included and what is
excluded.
• The processes, departments, and modules that will be affected or
involved (e.g., Finance, HR, Supply Chain, CRM).
• The deliverables expected during the project lifecycle.
• The timeline and phases of execution (e.g., planning, testing, training,
go-live).
• The definition of success criteria and scope control to manage any
future changes.
Key Project Activities
The major tasks and milestones that structure the ERP implementation process. These
typically include:
1. Project Planning: Define timeline, resources, budget, and risk mitigation strategies.
2. Requirements Gathering: Conduct workshops and interviews to capture business
needs.
3. System Design & Configuration: Customize the ERP system to align with specific
business processes.
4. Data Migration: Prepare, clean, and migrate master and transactional data from legacy

Enablement Approach
The Enablement Approach refers to the strategy and methods used to prepare, train, and support all
stakeholders—especially end-users and project team members—throughout the ERP implementation.
1.Training Programs
• Role-based training sessions tailored to users' day-to-day tasks.
• Super-user and administrator training for system configuration and support.
2.Communication Plan
• Regular updates to stakeholders on progress, changes, and expectations.
• Transparent messaging to drive user adoption and reduce resistance.

A Business Scenario represents a sequence of processes which fulfill a

You will use the SAP ByD business process to perform the following tasks based on
the Akron Company’s situation:
• What is the best way for the marketing department (MD) to grow the new market?
How can a marketer turn a new lead into an opportunity if they have one?
Additionally, notify the sales department (SD) about these leads.
• How can the SD answer the delivery date to the client when he/she needs 50 the
hot water boilers and receive 5 days from the order date after receiving the
opportunity information from MD? Assume that the order date is today's date and
that the transportation time is 2 days.
• How does the SD get inventory information to the warehousing department? How
can they notify the planning department to generate the planning production if
there is insufficient stock available? They must purchase the materials for
manufacture, and the lead time for getting the materials is two days.
