Vande viṣṇuṁ bhavabhayaharaṁ sarvalokaikanātham
Meaning:
I meditate on Viṣṇu, the Lord of all worlds, who reclines blissfully
On a bed of serpents, the embodiment of all peace, joy and delight, the Lord
Of the gods from whose navel sprouts the lotus. I meditate on Lord Viṣṇu, the
Source of all purity and goodness, whose hue is like that of the sky, who is the
Lord of Lakṣmī, the bestower of all riches. I meditate on the lotus-eyed Lord,
Beyond the reach of the great yogis even in their meditative samādhi, to deliver
Me from the fear of saṁskāra.

Meaning:
I salute my venerable Guru and Lords Gaṇeśa, Nārāyaṇa, Rudra,
The Divine mother Ambā, and the God of Light, Bhāskara. I also salute
Śrīkṛṣṇa, the Supreme Being.
The Invocation of the Thousand Names
1. om viśvasmai namaḥ
Salutations to the one who is the universe himself, the all or the universe.
2. om viṣṇave namaḥ
Salutations to the one who pervades everything in the universe.
3. om vaṣaṭ-kārāya namaḥ
He who is invoked for oblations. Salutations to the controller & director of the universe.
4. om bhūta-bhavya bhavat-prabhave namaḥ
Salutations to the master of all things past, present, and future. One who is beyond the
past, present and future.
5. om bhūta-krte namaḥ
Salutations to the one who creates everything without depending on anything.
6. om bhūta-bhrte namaḥ
Salutations to the supporter/sustainer/governor of all, who bears all things.
7. om bhāvāya namaḥ
Salutations to the existent one, he who becomes all moving and nonmoving things
8. om bhūtātmane namaḥ
The essence of all beings, the aatman of all beings, Salutations to the Over-self of all
being

He who originates and develops all Elements, Salutations to the nourisher of all beings

One whose nature is purity/who is purity. Salutations to the pure self — who despite
being the over-self of all beings he remains unaffected by Material Nature.

Salutations to the Supreme Self
12. om muktānām paramā-gataye namaḥ
One who is final goal of those seeking liberation. Salutations to the Supreme goal of the
liberated ones (muktas)
13. om avyayāya namaḥ
One who is immutable. Salutations to him who rejects none, no one who makes an effort
to reach Him is sent away.
14. om puruṣāya namaḥ
One who abides in the body or pura. Salutations to the generous one who bestows boons
in plenty.
15. om sakṣiṇe namaḥ
Salutations to the supreme witness who sees all things.
16. om kṣetrajñāya namaḥ
Salutations to the knower of all fields of action and the place to which to send the
liberated ones (muktas)
17. om akṣarāya namaḥ || 2 ||
He who is without destruction. Salutations to him who never wanes or diminishes in any
manner
18. om yogāya namaḥ
One attainable through yoga. Salutations to him who is the means to salvation.
19. om yoga-vidāṃ-netre namaḥ
Salutations to him Who is the master and guides the practitioners of yoga.
20. om pradhāna puruṣeśvarāya namaḥ
The master of pradhaana or Prakriti and Purusha or Jiva. Salutations to the Lord of
primordial matter and jivas
21. om nārasiṃha vapuṣe namaḥ
Salutations to the one who incarnated as a Man-lion.
22. om śrīmate namaḥ
One on whose chest the goddess Shri always dwells. Salutations to him of a lovely form
which is supernal and divine.
23. om keśavāya namaḥ
Salutations to him who has lovely locks of hair.

The greatest among all Purushas. Salutations to the Supreme Person.

The omniscient source of all existence. Salutations to the All who transcends everything.

Salutations to the remover of all that is negative.

Salutations to the giver of auspiciousness
28. om sthānave namaḥ
Salutations to the one who is stready, immovable, changeless, and who is firm in granting
blessings.
29. om bhūtādaye namaḥ
Salutations to him who is source of all elements or existing things.
30. om nidhaye avyayāya namaḥ
The changeless and indestructible Being in whom the whole universe becomes merged
and remains in seminal condition at the time of Pralay or cosmic dissolution. Salutations
to the inexhaustible treasure, that is worthy of protection by the devotee.
31. om sambhavāya namaḥ
Salutations to the one who manifests himself even though he is as precious as a hidden
treasure. One born out of His own will as incarnation.
32. om bhāvanāya namaḥ
One who generates the fruits or Karmas of all Jivas for them to enjoy. Salutations to the
Saviour who repeatedly takes birth.
33. om bhartre namaḥ
Salutations to the Supporter through nourishing all things
34. om prabhavāya namaḥ
One from whom all the great elements have their birth. Salutations to him of exalted birth
of a sublime nature.
35. om prabhave namaḥ
Salutations to the one who is all powerful.
36. om iśvarāya namaḥ || 4 ||
Salutations to the Supreme Monarch, has power over all things.
37. om svayaṃbhuve namaḥ
Salutations to the one who is Self-manifest, uncaused by any other.

Salutations to the source of bliss for all sentient beings, who bestows happiness on
devotees.
39. om ādityāya namaḥ
The golden-hued person in the Sun’s orb. Salutations to the divinity in the Sun.

41. om maha-svanāya namaḥ
One from whom comes the great sound – the Veda. Salutations to the one who is
matilfest through the venerable sentence the Gāyatri mantra which is the essence of all
the three Vedas.

Salutations to him who is without beginning or end, birth nor death.

yadakṣaraṁ padabhraṣṭaṁ mātrāhīnaṁ ca yadbhavet
tatsarvaṁ kṣāmyatām deva prasīda parameśvara
Meaning:
O Supreme Lord, please forgive us for any acts of omission or commission in this sacred yajna;
O Lord, in the course of performing this sacrifice inadvertently we may have erred, forgotten a
word, a syllable or mispronounced the mantras; for that O Compassionate Lord, we beg your
forgiveness and pray for Thy grace. All glory to Thee, O Lord of our hearts.

Dhyānamūlam gurormūrtiḥ pūjāmūlam guroḥ pādam
Mantramūlaṁ gurorvākyam mokṣamūlaṁ guroh kṛpā
Tvameva mātā pitā tvameva

Tvameva vidyā draviṇaṁ tvameva
Tvameva sarvaṁ mama deva deva
Meaning:
Salutations to Thee, O Loving Master,
Thou art the object of our meditation; salutations to Thy holy feet,
The object of our worship; salutations to Thy vibrating word,
The source of all mantras. O Loving Master, the most adorable guide,
We are convinced that the secret to liberation lies in Thy grace.
Thou are my mother, father, friend and companion,
Thou art the source of my wisdom and all material prosperity,
And verily, O Lord, Thou art the lord of my heart and god of gods.
