LESSON 5A: VOCABULARY – JOBS
I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Understand and can distinguish many works
- Vocabulary: architect, cleaner, dentist, engineer, farm worker, hairdresser, paramedic,
pilot, programmer, receptionist, sales assistant, solicitor, sports coach, travel agent,
waiter, creative, challenging, repetitive, rewarding, stressful, tiring, varied, etc.
2. Ability:
- main skills: listening and speaking skills
- sub skills: reading and writing skills
- Apply new words to share their opinion, feeling about movies they like or dislike
3. Quality:
- Have positive attitude in English language learning so that they can participate
enthusiastically in all classroom activities, especially with the topic conducted by the
teacher
- Can distinguish many types of jobs
- Know how to share their opinion, feeling about jobs they like or dislike

III. PROCEDURES:
A. Warm-up (5’)
a) Objective: Introduce the new lesson and set the scene for students to acquire new
language; get students' attention at the beginning of the class by means of enjoyable and
short activities as well as to engage them in the steps that followed.
