1. Sensory Details
Use these words to create vivid imagery by appealing to the five senses.

Sight (Visual Imagery) - What the reader can see


- Colors: crimson, jade, obsidian, golden, translucent, murky
- Light: flickering, radiant, dim, shadowy, shimmering, luminous
- Shape & Size: towering, minuscule, jagged, slender, warped, bulky
- Movement: gliding, slithering, darting, trudging, wavering

Sound (Auditory Imagery) - What the reader can hear


- Loud: thunderous, piercing, shrill, clattering, roaring
- Soft: hushed, muffled, whispering, rustling, tinkling
- Sharp: screeching, squeaking, snapping, wailing
- Dull: droning, murmuring, humming, buzzing

Touch (Tactile Imagery) - What the reader can feel


- Temperature: scalding, icy, lukewarm, crisp, humid
