Hello LinkedIn family!

Just a few weeks ago, I shared my story of a Class 1 child who dreamt of being a
teacher and how that dream eventually led me to choose the unconventional but
deeply fulfilling path of the ITEP at IIT Bhubaneswar.

And today, I’m happy to share that I’ve officially started my journey as a BSc
Economics BEd student at IIT Bhubaneswar from August 1. Every orientation,
faculty interaction, and student conversation has reassured me that this is where
I belong. The vision, people, and environment here truly inspire me. I'm deeply
grateful to my parents, school teachers, mentors, and friends who supported me
at every step.

To anyone still figuring out what path to take: it’s okay to explore, stumble, and
take detours. Some of the most meaningful journeys don’t follow straight lines.
Always remember to have belief on you and strive hard to make yourself the
best version of yours.

🎓 One of the most memorable moments of our induction was the inspiring
session by our Director, Dr. Shreepad Karmalkar Sir, on “The Role of Teachers in
Society.” His words were not just motivational but deeply moving —reminding us
that teaching is not merely a profession, but a sacred responsibility. One story he
shared that truly struck a chord with me was that of Angulimala and Buddha —
illustrating how the presence of a compassionate teacher-like figure can
transform even the most lost soul. Sir’s session was a powerful reminder of why I
chose this path.

📝 I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Venkata Raghavan R Sir,
Chairperson of ITEP at IIT Bhubaneswar. Right from the beginning of my
application journey, sir has been a pillar of support and clarity. His guidance
played a huge role in making this dream a reality.

👨‍🏫Equally thankful to my Faculty Advisor, Dr. Nihar Ranjan J Sir, whose warm and
thoughtful guidance is helping me find my footing in this new academic world.
From understanding the curriculum to adjusting to the IIT system, his support has
been a huge source of confidence and clarity.

💫 A heartfelt shout-out to my Student Guide, Mayank Malviya, whose kindness


and constant support made my admission journey smooth and stress-free. From
patiently answering every little question to helping me navigate the first few
days here, he made this transition so much easier and I’ll always be thankful for
that.

🎉 And a big thank you to the amazing Counselling Service Team! You made us
feel so welcome from day one. One of my favorite memories so far has to be the
Treasure Hunt. such a fun and creative way to explore the campus and connect
with peers.
This is just the beginning and I’m excited for everything that lies ahead. I hope to
grow into the kind of teacher who not only explains concepts, but also sparks
curiosity and brings learning to life.

Looking forward to sharing more from this journey with all of you.
