Definition
Descriptive text is a text that describe a particular person, animal, place
or thing. You write a description when you want your reader to picture
what you are describing.
Purpose of descriptive text
To describe person, thing, or place in specific.

Generic structure
● Identification
This part introduces where or who the subject being described is. Or
used to tell general informat about something or someone.
● Description
This part a snows the detail description of subject. It my include the
information about the oppearance or qualities of. Or detail
information had in the text.

Language features
As for the language features, here are the language features of
descriptive text.
1. Using simpan present tense.
Pattern : S + V1 + O + Adverb
S ( I/You/they/we) + V1 + O + adv
S (She/he/it) + V1 + s/es + O + adv
Example :
● Borobudur is one of historical buildings in Indonesia
● Borobudur temple consists of six square floors.
2. Using adjective and Adverb
Example of adjective
● Historical
● Well known
Exampel of adverb
● In Indonesia
● In Magelang
● In UNESCO list
● On each level
● On the top conter
3. Using present passive voice
Pattern :
Active = S + V1 + O + Adv
Passive = O + is/am/are + V3 + by + S + Adv
Example :

● Borobudur tample is also included
