o BexW-1-Archetypes-Feminine-Qualities.doc

 Assignments Completed
o none required

Starting Point (Optional):

Notice your current relationship to the following:
 What do you think is the difference between "masculine" and
"feminine"?
 What percentage of your time do you think you spend being
"masculine" and being "feminine"?
 Do you think your success in life depends upon one more than the
other?
 What qualities, that you consider feminine, do you appreciate in
other people?
 Are there specific feminine qualities that feel more comfortable
for you to be?
 Are there specific feminine qualities that are especially
uncomfortable for you to be?

Self-Review (Optional):
Create Confidence by responding to these questions:
 How do we differentiate the Masculine and the Feminine in this session?
 How do we describe the qualities of the Temptress?
 How do we summarize what the Temptress qualities cause?
 How do we describe the qualities of the Mother?
 How do we summarize what the Mother qualities cause?
 How do we describe the qualities of the Queen?
 How do we summarize what the Queen qualities cause?
If you answered the questions easily, you may confidently proceed to the next
session. Way to go!

If you struggled with any of these questions, you may want to review this session
because you will need this information to:
 Develop a conscious relationship to qualities of femininity.
 Develop specific feminine qualities for the effect they will have on your
relationships, sense of self and fulfillment.

Exercises (Optional):

Conceptualize by developing your own metaphors for the following. You might
play with historical people or events, elements of nature, even fictitious women
such as popular book, TV, or film characters. Or physical objects, like shoes!
 The Qualities of the Temptress archetype
 The Qualities of the Mother archetype
 The Qualities of the Queen archetype

Verbalize by Self-Teaching the following topics out loud. You may use a mirror or
a camera in “selfie” mode. For an extra benefit, video-record yourself and watch
it back!
 The Qualities of the Temptress archetype and how others respond
 The Qualities of the Mother archetype and how others respond
 The Qualities of the Queen archetype and how others respond
 What happens when you have one set of qualities without the other two

Physicalize by acting out the following. For “kinesthetic learners,” this can help
you relate to the topic more deeply and/or clearly. You will also learn more about
your preconceptions by first imagining acting these out, and then actually doing
it.
 Position your body, and then walk around, in ways that represent to you
the Qualities of the Temptress archetype. Notice what memories this
triggers and/or awareness this causes.
 Position your body, and then walk around, in ways that represent to you
the Qualities of the Mother archetype. Notice what memories this triggers
and/or awareness this causes.
 Position your body, and then walk around, in ways that represent to you
the Qualities of the Queen archetype. Notice what memories this triggers
and/or awareness this causes.
 See if you can do the same with a combination of qualities from two or all
three archetypes.
 How has your relationship to these qualities changed by acting them out?

Journal/Reflection Questions (Optional):

Personalize the topic for yourself by journaling or reflecting.
If you benefit from journaling by hand-writing, you might try responding to these
questions and prompts first with your dominant hand, and then secondly with
your non-dominant hand. You may surprise yourself!
If you don’t enjoy or benefit by journaling, just reflect upon these questions and
prompts for as long as you like.
 What does way of looking at Masculinity and Femininity illuminate in your
life?
 What result, complaints, or conditions does this clarify?
 Which aspects of Femininity do you want to develop or empower in
yourself?
 Results of the workshop:
 What do you want to understand or be clear about?
 What do you want to be able to do or have happen?
 What frustrations do you want to eliminate?

Interview Questions (Optional):

Discover more about yourself by listening to the people who know you best.
Below you’ll find potential questions related to this sessions topic.

Remember to “Wait for the Well” and “Listen to Learn” as well as appreciate the
time, effort - and maybe courage - it takes to answer you!
 When I am focused on producing results, what effect does it have on you?
 When my attention is on being rather than accomplishing, what effect
does it have on you?
 What are the qualities you most count on me being? How do they affect
you?
