Samsung Care + Privacy Notice

At Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, particularly, Samsung Gulf Electronics FZE (collectively,
“Samsung”), we know how important privacy is to our customers. We created this Privacy Notice to make
sure you understand how we collect and use your personal information in relation to Samsung Care +.

Our Privacy Policy also applies to your use of Samsung Care +. Our Privacy Policy contains more
information about how we use your data. It also includes information about how to contact us. Please
read our Privacy Policy in addition to this Privacy Notice. However, this Privacy Notice shall always prevail
over the Privacy Policy.

We (“Samsung”) respect your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Notice applies to the personal
information we collect through Samsung Care + services (collectively, “Samsung Care +” or the “Services”).
It does not apply to information collected by other apps, websites or services provided by Samsung or its
affiliated entities.

In this Privacy Notice, we describe the types of information collected through Samsung Care +, how we
may use the information, with whom we may share it and the choices available to you regarding our use
of the information. We also describe the measures we take to safeguard the information and tell you how
to contact us about our privacy practices.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Information You Provide Directly

• When you create account/profile/etc. with us, we may ask for information such as your name, date of
birth, or email address.
• If you make a purchase in SAMSUNG CARE +, we will ask for your name, address, contact information,
and payment information to process your order.
• To provide responses when you contact Customer Service, we ask for information to verify your identify
and the product you’re contacting us about.
• When you communicate with our Customer Service staff or others, your communications will be
transmitted through our systems.

Information About Your Use of Samsung Care +

• Device information: Your hardware model, device hardware information, IMEI number and other unique
device identifiers, phone number, serial number, sales code, current software version, MCC (Mobile
Country Code), MNC (Mobile Network Code), MAC address, IP address, cookies, pixels, subscription
information, operating system versions, and settings of the devices you use to access Samsung Care+.
• Log information: Diagnostic, technical, error, and usage information such as the time and duration of
your use of Samsung Care+, and any information stored in cookies that we set on your devices.
• Location information: Your device’s GPS signal or information about nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell
towers is sent to us when you use Samsung Care+ and turn on the Location function.
• Voice information: Recordings of your voice that we make and store on our servers when you turn on
this function and use voice commands to control Samsung Care+, or when you contact our Customer
Service team. Note that if we work with a third party service provider that provides speech-to-text
conversion services on our behalf, this provider may receive and store certain voice commands according
to the contract between us and our trusted third-party service provider.
• Other information about your use of Samsung Care+, such as the apps you use, the websites you visit,
and how you interact with content offered through Samsung Care+.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

• To help you register for and use Samsung Care+. We use your information to send you marketing
communications, communicate with you about our Services with your consent, and let you know about
changes to our policies and Terms.
• To provide services and features that you request. To Show policy start date and end date, to view the
remaining claims.
• To provide customized ads, promotions, and offers that might interest you on our websites, third-party
websites, and online platforms such as social media sites.
• To provide promotions, and offers through direct marketing communications, only where you have
given us your separate consent.
• To analyze our products and services to help us better understand our customers in order to offer the
most relevant communications, services and experiences to you.
• To ask you for your opinions on our products and services and to carry out customer surveys, with your
separate consent if required.
• To provide software updates, maintenance services, and support for Samsung Care+.
• To comply with the law and legal processes.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Samsung Electronics, or any of our affiliates, business
partners, or customers.

We use and combine the information we collect about you from Samsung Care + with data from other
services or features you use, your devices including, without limitation, your Samsung SMART TV if you
have one, customer services, purchases made from our website and other sources to provide you with a
better experience. For example, you can use your Samsung account details not only on Samsung services
or features you have registered with, but also with other services or features which use Samsung accounts.
We also use the information you provide directly or through other sources as described above to provide
content you may like or that has been personalized.

Information Sharing

We do not disclose personal information about you through the Services, except as described in this
Privacy Notice. We may share your personal information with our subsidiaries and affiliates and with
service providers who perform services for us. We do not authorize our service providers to use or
disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal
requirements.

Samsung is not responsible for these third-party providers’ privacy or security practices. The privacy and
security practices of the relevant providers, including details on the information they receive from us or
collect about you, are subject to the privacy statements of these parties, which we strongly suggest you
review.

In addition, we may share personal information we collect through Samsung Care + at your request.
Samsung, our subsidiaries and affiliates, and our third-party service providers also may disclose
information about you (1) if we are required to do so by law or legal process (such as a court order or
subpoena); (2) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (3)
to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; (4) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate
to prevent physical or other harm or financial loss; (5) in connection with an investigation of suspected or
actual illegal activity; (6) in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including
in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, dissolution or liquidation); or (7) otherwise with your
consent.

UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

This Privacy Notice may be updated to let you know about changes in how we collect and process your
information in Samsung Care + or changes in related laws. The date when the document was last updated
is shown at the top of this Privacy Notice.
