- Extra species only for certain settings (duh)

- Determines Career Skills (easier to buy)
- Earn starting ranks in four Career Skills

4. EXP Points
- Starting EXP based on Archetype/Species
- Characteristics
- Cost = purchased rank * 10
- Cannot go above 5
- Cannot level up after character creation
- Skills
- Career Skills cost = purchased rank * 5
- Non-Career Skills cost = purchased rank * 5 + 5
- Cannot go above 5.
- Can be leveled up after character creation
- Talents
- cost = purchased tier * 5
- Must have lower tier talent to gain higher tier talent in the same row

5. Derived Attributes
- Wound Threshold
- Archetype/Species + Brawn
- Strain Threshold
- Archetype/Species + Willpower
- Defense
- Item/Talent based
- Should be 0 in most cases
- Soak Value
- Equal to Brawn
- Can be increased with Talents/Armor

6. Motivation
- Strength
- What is your best feature?
- "[The] first thing you'd put on your character's resume."
- Flaw
- What makes you human?
- Remember to play off of this feature
- Desire
- What is the key motive driving you?
- Will probably be used to develop story
- Creativity encouraged here
- Fear
- What do you dread?

7. Gear, Appearance, and Personality


-Gear
- 500 base starting "currency"
- Talk to GM to determine what gear can be purchased
- Add 1d100 to total "currency" once gear is purchased
- Appearance
- What would go on your driver's license?
- If someone was describing you, what would they say?
- What's one body modification that makes sense?
-Tattoo, dyed hair, nose piercing, scar, missing limb, etc.
- Personality
- Consider how backstory may influence
- Start simple and character will evolve
- Narrative-Driven game

BONUS HEROIC ABILITIES


- Expansion content
- Will create unique abilities for bigger campaigns
- Leave blank for early campaigns
