Overall, it is readily apparent that this section of the university dedicated to sports will undergo

significant transformations, with the most conspicuous changes involving the expansion of both
sides of the complex along with the addition of new services and amenities.

Task 1: The picture below shows the museum’s plant in 1998 and
after some changes were made in 2008. Summarize the information
by selecting and reporting the main features, and make relevant
comparisons.

To commence, the 1998 museum layout lacked a restaurant in its

northeastern corner. In stark contrast, the 2008 redesign introduced a
restaurant, accompanied by the incorporation of a temporary
exhibition room, previously situated in the southwestern section of
the 1998 plan. Furthermore, the 2008 arrangement innovatively
accommodated a shop and designated space for storing bags and
coats in the southwest region of the museum.

Notably, the heart of the 1998 design featured a garden. However, in

the development of the 2008 museum, the central area underwent a
transformation, now encompassing not only a garden but also
fountains and a cafe seating area. Throughout these changes, the
permanent exhibition room and ticket entrance remained consistent in
both layouts. The strategic alterations in the 2008 plan, including the
addition of amenities and the repurposing of existing spaces,
significantly enhanced the overall functionality and visitor experience
compared to the 1998 configuration.

Task 1: The map below shows a school in 1985 and the school now.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main
features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram illustrates changes at Liverton Docks since 1980. Overall, the docks have undergone
significant redevelopment, transforming the former industrial zone into a multi-purpose environment
with recreational, educational, and residential amenities on both northern and southern riverbanks.

In the past, the northern bank featured two warehouses and an adjacent crane, while the southern bank
had one warehouse and another crane. Today, the northern bank includes a sailing club, an education
center (converted from a warehouse), and a children's playground. Simultaneously, the southern bank
now features a hotel, apartments (repurposed from a warehouse), parking facilities, and a river walk
along the bank.

Regarding the river, it previously facilitated ship journeys toward the coast. However, in the current
configuration, ships are absent, replaced by a ship museum on the eastern side adjacent to the northern
bank. A bridge connects the banks on the western side, accompanied by a strategically placed flood
barrier.

Task 1: The maps show the changes of an office building between the
present and the future. Summarize the information by selecting and
reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. (Map)
