Hello my name is Yumin Oh, from the ISE division.
In the high school, I was interested in
science, especially in nano technology and organic materials. I thought I might be able to
study widely in the field what I am interested in, if I enroll the school.
Before I admire to UIC, I lived in vietnam. Eventhough I went to Korean international
school, I was able to experience diverse and global culture and relationship. I heard lots of
vietnamese people’s life, and learned they are the people who don not regret and enjoy the
present situation at their best.
I want to be in NSE nano sience and engineering division after freshmen year, however, I
also want to learn biological knowledge since I want to learn bio materials that can be
utillized in our body. ( But not so sure about this and this interest might be changed...)
For my personality, I tend to be quite shy when I meet new people, but once I get to know
someone, I become much more outgoing and expressive. I enjoy staying active and moving
my body, but at the same time, I also love quiet moments where I can be alone with my
thoughts. Whether it's reading a book or watching a video, I find joy in reflecting and
exploring new ideas. I like to balance my time between being social and having personal
space, as both are important parts of who I am.
It is still quite hard to adjust in university life, but I think I will be used to this new
environment soon with my new friends and professors.

more in length without putting them in quotation marks and citing the source.
b. Paraphrasing the ideas of a source without citation.
c. Using statistics, facts, or illustrative material without citation.

submitted for credit in another course. This includes courses that are repeated.
I understand that it is my responsibility to understand these guidelines and to practice them in
all my academic affairs. Further, I understand that penalties for plagiarism and other forms of
academic dishonesty include immediately failing a course or finishing the course with a C or
D. Finally, I understand that this contract serves as my first, and only, warning for all classes
