2. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this course is to enable the students to appreciate the fundamentals of
digital logic circuits and Boolean algebra. Further to focusing on combinational and
sequential digital logic circuits. This course is analytical in nature and needs a
fundamental knowledge on logical computation with Boolean algebra. The focus of the
course will be to discuss the minimization techniques for making low-cost canonical
digital circuit implementations. In this course, we emphasize design procedures of digital
electronic circuits.
Additionally, this course will create a foundation for future courses that includes
Computer Architecture, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems etc.
3. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
The objective of the course is to familiarize the learners with Design and Analysis of Digital Logic
Circuits concepts and to improve the learner’s SKILL DEVELOPMENT by using PARTICIPATIVE
LEARNING TECHNIQUES through Assessments.
