ASSIGNMENT – 1
Observe the following pictures and fill in the blanks:-
1. This design is called Khatamband. It has a pattern that
look like a jigsaw puzzle. It is found in the ceiling of
houseboats in big houses.

2. Some old houses have a special type of window which


comes out of the wall. It has beautiful wood pattern.
This is called dab

3. In Kashmir the doors and windows of old houses have


beautiful arches which is called mehraab.

4. Namgyal live in a big cone-shaped tent called rebo. It


is made of strips and hair of yak.

5. Pashmina shawl is as warm as six sweaters. It is very


thin yet very warm. To make one shawl spent almost
250 hours of weaving.
