Course Description

Rationale: This course deals with the analysis and synthesis of the educational
financial management system of different educational institutions with particular
emphasis on the preparation and analysis of financial and related information on the
techniques and strategies for the generation and disbursement of funds and
budgeting applied in the Philippine educational setting. It also introduces the day-to-
day business operation and strategic financial management of educational
institutions. It provides model on how sound financial business management and
decision making and technical skills are utilized in the operations of educational
institutions.

Focus:
The course focus on a school issue, problem or area of collective interest,
towards developing a strong relationship with the learners even parents and other members
of the academe and at the same time help improve teachers teaching strategies.

Learning Outcomes:
 Understand the concept and fundamentals of financial management
 Recognize and critically analyse the trends and current challenges in financial
management particularly in this pandemic situation with different learning modality
 Apply knowledge and awareness in the development frameworks, learning modalities
and learning continuity plan
 Critically reflect on the strategies, process and modalities of budget process
 Gain practical experience in applying skills learned in financial management, techniques,
and theories through working with in school officials
Synthesize the depth and breadth of knowledge, knowledge of methodologies, application of
knowledge, and communication skills according to the degree level competencies established by
authorizing bodies for degree programs in GGC.
