PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS:
Succulent Leaves (Make 8):
*It is important to make sure your work is right-side out when working the leaves. They will have a better shape and more of a point at the
tip. As you stitch in the round your work will have a tendency to curve wrong-side out. Push it back in after the first few rows and it will stay.
The start of your yarn should be on the inside of your work if it is facing right-side out.
**I recommend using a ST marker at the beginning of each round.

Finishing & Assembly:
To form your Rosette Succulent, begin with the center, start to roll the center up from one end. It should look like this:

Rosette Succulent
Using your finishing needle and yarn tail, stitch along the back side of the center to secure in place.
Once secure, you will begin to attach each leaf, one at a time.
To place the leaves around the center start by using the tail of yarn for each leaf to stitch the bottom of the leaf closed.
I will reference the face of a clock for leaf placement. Attach the first leaf to the succulent center at the “12” position. You will
repeat this process for the next leaf, placing at the “3” position. The next leaf will be placed at the “6” position and the 4th leaf
will be placed at the “9” position. The next 4 leaves will be centered and attached between the leaves you just placed. The first
should be attached between the leaves placed at “12” & “3”. The next should be placed between the leaves placed at “3” &
“6”, the next should be placed between the leaves placed at “6” & “9” and the final leaf should be placed between the leaves
placed at the “9” & “12” position.
4 Leaves Placed 8 Leaves Placed Backside
Center and attach your succulent to the soil ring. Using the green yarn (or same color as your succulent). Secure the Succulent
body from the bottom of the “plant” through the top of the soil ring, securing under the bottom of the ring. This will be hidden
under the leaves on the top of the ring.

Gently Stuff your pot with fiber fill just below the top. Do not over stuff but use enough to help the pot maintain its shape. Place
the soil ring with your attached plant on top. Using a long piece of yarn, the same color as the pot, begin to attach soil ring
inside the pot. Use a whip stitch in and out of row 14 picking up a stitch from round 6 of the soil ring. Do this around until the
ring is secured.
If desired, using a very dark pink or purple blush or eyeshadow you can apply pigment to the outer edge of each leaf.
Another finishing option is to place small decorative pebbles on top of the soil
ring (see Photo above).
Finished!
