"I remember fire. Screams. Heresy. I remember the silence that followed when the last
heretic fell, and the Emperor's light cleansed the world. I remember being sealed in
steel... and the silence ever since."

Virex was once a champion of the Eternal Crusade, a towering warrior forged in war
and tested by fire. He served a now-lost empire that worshiped the God-Emperor, a
divine sovereign said to radiate light and judgment across the stars. As a mortal, Virex
fought in countless crusades, his sword striking down the impure, his shield guarding
the faithful.

When his body was broken beyond repair in a fateful battle against a heretic warlord,
his spirit endured. The priest-forges and techno-clerics interred him into a
war-sarcophagus — a dreadnought body, a fusion of flesh, machine, and faith. Though
preserved through techno-divine rites, Virex was entombed in silence, to be awakened
only in times of dire need.

He slumbered for centuries in a stasis shrine, beneath a temple-fortress long since lost
to time. Pilgrims came and went. Wars were fought. The empire fractured. New gods
rose. The light of the God-Emperor dimmed in memory. But Virex endured.

Until now.

As the party stumbles across forbidden texts, consorts with strange patrons, or
accidentally tears at the seams of divine law, they trigger holy wards beneath the
temple ruins. Virex awakens — not confused, not hesitant — but filled with holy fury.
He sees their chaos. Their heresy. Their ignorance.

And so begins a new crusade.

He believes he has been awoken for one purpose:

To cleanse the realm of apostasy, to remind the worlds of the one true faith, and to
bring judgment by flame, blade, and unyielding will.

Though he spares the young — for they may yet be guided — he offers no such mercy
to those who speak of false gods, demons, or the chaotic unknown. Even sarcasm is
not safe from his literal devotion. Allies must tread carefully... or kneel in repentance.

FEATURES & TRAITS

Damage Immunities: poison, necrotic

-----------Other Traits------------
Choose Your Stance:. As a bonus action, you can enter one of the following stances for 1 minute (can be used once per short or long rest):

Crusader's Wrath:
You gain +2 to damage rolls and your melee attacks now deal radiant damage.

Crusader's Aegis:
You and all allies within 10 feet gain +2 to AC and resistance to all damage from chaotic creatures.

Crusader's Charge:
Your movement speed increases by 10 feet. Any creature you move past within 5 feet must make a Strength saving throw (DC 15) or be
knocked prone.

Crusaders Resilence. Divine Shielding:

You gain resistance to necrotic and radiant damage, as your connection to the Emperor’s divine energy fortifies your body and soul.

Unyielding:
When you drop to 0 HP, you can use your reaction to regain half your hit points (rounded down) and make one melee attack before falling
unconscious.

Divine Channeling. Channel the Emperor’s Will:

Once per short or long rest, as a bonus action, you can call upon the Emperor’s divine wrath. For 1 minute, you gain advantage on all attack
rolls and deal additional radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier.

Crusader's Shield:
When wielding a shield, you can use your reaction to absorb damage from a single attack within 30 feet, reducing the damage by an amount
equal to your Crusader level + Constitution modifier.

Divine Weight. When you move into an enemy’s space or land from at least 10 feet above, they must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving
throw or be knocked prone and take 1d6 bludgeoning damage.

This can happen once per turn and does not require your action.

Purge The Unholy. Purse The Unholy

Once per short rest, when you hit a chaotic creature, you can choose to deal 2d8 radiant damage in addition to the weapon's normal damage.
The target must then make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 16) or be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Sacred Machine Body. You are considered both a construct and humanoid.

You can be healed by divine spells (like Cure Wounds), repair magic (like Mending/Repair), or technomagic-infused potions.

You are immune to effects that would affect only living creatures (like Sleep, Hold Person).

The Unwavering Mission. Virex has been awakened or created with a single purpose: to eradicate the forces of chaos and heretics in the
name of the Emperor. His background gives him a profound sense of duty that drives all of his actions.

Purposeful Pursuit: You have dedicated your life to purging heretics, destroying chaos, and carrying out the will of the Emperor. Because of
this, you are always able to find a common cause with those who share a similar goal. If you’re ever in need of guidance or allies, those who
serve a lawful and divine cause will recognize you and offer assistance—whether in the form of resources, information, or safe passage
through their lands.

Divine Favor: Your relationship with the Emperor is absolute, and you are granted divine insight during key moments of your crusade. Once
per long rest, you may call upon your Emperor’s favor, granting you advantage on a single attack roll, saving throw, or ability check when
performing actions that align with your divine purpose. This reflects the Emperor's unyielding support for your mission.

Titanic Resilence. You are immune to the paralyzed and poisoned conditions.

You do not sleep, eat, or breathe.

You are immune to disease and resistant to necrotic damage.

You cannot be polymorphed or transformed against your will.

You cannot be knocked prone by creatures smaller than Large.

Wrath of The Emperour. Wrath of the Emperor:

Once per long rest, when you drop a chaotic creature to 0 HP, you can unleash the Wrath of the Emperor. All creatures within a 30-foot radius
take 4d10 radiant damage (DC 18 Constitution saving throw for half damage).
Additionally, you gain temporary hit points equal to twice your Crusader level.
