COURSE REQUIREMENTS, GRADING SYSTEM AND CLASS POLICIES

CSC/ITS – 104(PROGRAMMING 2)
Course Requirements
▪ 75% grade and above in student’s quizzes
▪ 75% grade and above in student’s
assignments
▪ 75% grade and above in student’s projects
▪ 75% grade and above in student’s major
exams
▪ Midterm and Final Project Submission
Grading System

Semester Grade = (Midterm Grade + Final Grade)/2


Submission Policy
▪ Assignments/Projects should be submitted on or
before the time of collection.
▪ Submissions after the collection time are no longer
honored.
▪ Submissions must be successfully “turned in” in the
google classroom.
▪ Submissions “Missing” in the google classroom are
marked INC (incomplete) when the grades are already
required to be submitted to the registrar.
CLASS POLICIES
Attendance
▪ Should be present on or before 10 mins of the
time or before the extracting of attendance
from google classroom.
▪ 20 mins late is already absent. (In
face-to-face)
Attendance
▪ An excuse letter is acceptable only if presented
with an valid reason along with concrete
evidence of the said reason.
▪ Missed exams / outputs due to absences will not
be given a make-up unless presented with a valid
excuse letter with concrete evidence
(screenshots, duly accomplished excuse letter,
etc.) of the said reason or if the student’s grade is
below 75% (only).
Decorum
▪ Students should behave like a true (soon-to-be)
CS/IT professional with the VALUES of NORSU’s
SAPPHIRE (please refer to the new VMGCV of
NORSU).
▪ Unnecessary talking and fooling around is strictly
prohibited especially during formal class
discussions.
▪ Maintain respect at all times, not only to the
teacher but also to fellow students.
Special Education Need and
Disability Accommodation
▪ Persons with physical/ learning disabilities are
requested to see the teacher within the first
two weeks of the semester. A doable strategy
is designed by both the teacher and student
throughout the semester. Have an
appointment with the teacher for his/ her
consultation time.
Academic Honesty
▪ All forms of dishonesty as indicated as ideal
class rules in the basic and higher education is
automatically equivalent to a failing grade of
the academic exercise. Plagiarism is
automatic “Failed” in an output.
Consultation Hours
▪ Official Consultation time:
04:00 pm - 6:00 pm
▪ Special Consultation hours:
Whenever I am not busy as long it is between
(8am to 9pm only).
