May 2008
IPTRAFFIC (Release version 2.5.1 - Build 2.5.1.8)
Improvements/Corrections:
* Improvement on the offline analysis to continue the research even if we
reach the end of file B
when the packets analysis file A is not finished. This allows finding
desequenced packets in file B.
* Change in the Trial version license - no more restriction.
April 2008
IPTRAFFIC (Release version 2.5.0 - Build 2.5.0.6)
Enhancements:
* Supports Windows Vista
* Includes a licensed version of the software that uses a USB Software
Protection Key.
The USB Software Protection Key is the most flexible way to transfer
your license to any other PC.
* Uses a new hardware component to provide a high precision time
reference. By using the
NTP Time Server embedded on the new z300 Time Device, you can get
precise measurements with
an uncertainty of 1 ms.
* Now generates Broadcast IP traffic.
* Replaces the TOS byte by the DSCP field.
* Splits the registry entries in two locations (according to the
Microsoft
recommendations for Windows Vista):
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE for the read-only entries
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU) for the read/written entries
Improvements/Corrections:
* A new entry en the registry allows disabling the promiscuous mode.
In HKCU/Software/ZTI/IPTraffic/Settings/, you will find the entry
DriverFilterMode.
This is a DWORD and the values allowed are:
0x000020 = PROMISCUOUS MODE
0x000080 = ALL LOCAL
* The Nics listed in the "Select Adapters" window of the traffic
sniffer are now shown
with their MAC Address.
* Improvements have been done on the packet.dll to prevent from
blocking the start of the
application.
* Improvements have been also done on the offline analysis:
- to prevent from crashing the application due to memory resource
limitation.
- search synchronisation is now done first on the file B using
the DEPTHFORPACKETANALYSIS. If not packet was found, the search
is restarted and
done into the whole file as in previous versions.
Improvements/Corrections:
* Takes into account the clock resynchronization when using
a wait instruction based on a date/time information.
------------------------------

started.
* Remove the inaccurate stop of the statistics export process for the
IP Answering.
* Change the date extracted from the sniffed traffic file, used by the
export of
statistics during the offline replay process, to avoid a date like
00/00/0000.
* Editorial changes in the text of error messages when memory
allocation failure occurs.
* Correct the selection of NIC in the Traffic Sniffer.
* Change the Packet.DLL to fit the new Adapter discovery included in
Winpcap version 3.1
