Q. Question This distance–time graph shows a short train journey between two stations,
P and R, that are 2000m apart.
a. The train leaves station Pat time 0.
b. The train takes 200s to travel from P to R.
c.The train stops at station R for 140s.
d.The train then travels back to station P in a time of 100s
e.At what speed does the train travel from station P to station R?
f What is the speed of the train on the way back from station R to station P
Ans: a. The distance is 2000m and the time taken is 200 s.
speed = distance/ time
= 2000 /200 = 10m/s
b. The distance is 2000m and the time taken is 100s.
speed = distance/ time
= 2000/ 100
= 20m/s
