ANNEXURE II

SUBMISSION OF PROJECT SYNOPSIS AND GUIDE ACCEPTANCE FORM

(To be submitted to the Project Steering Committee)
PART A: Project Synopsis
I. Student Details:
1. Name of the Program: BCA
2. Name of the Student: ________
3. Roll Number: _________
4. Session & Year: April 2025

II. Project Synopsis:

1. Title of the Project : Car Driving School Management System :- This project
aims to develop a comprehensive software application to streamline and
digitize the day-to-day operations of a car driving school. The system will
manage student registrations, schedule driving classes, assign instructors,
monitor progress, generate certificates, handle payments, and maintain
records in a secure, efficient, and user-friendly manner.

2. Introduction and Review of Literature:

Car driving schools play a vital role in ensuring road safety by training
individuals to become responsible drivers. However, many such schools still
rely on manual record-keeping, which is inefficient, error-prone, and lacks
transparency. As the demand for driving education rises, the need for a digital
solution becomes crucial.

A Car Driving School Management System addresses these problems by

providing an integrated platform that handles multiple administrative and
operational tasks. With features like online student registration, class
scheduling, instructor management, attendance tracking, and fee collection,
the system simplifies complex workflows and enhances productivity.

Review of Literature: Several studies and existing systems have emphasized

the benefits of automating educational and service-oriented businesses.
Previous projects like "School Management Systems" or "Coaching Center
Portals" inspired this model. However, most of these are generalized
platforms. The CDSMS is specifically tailored to the driving school industry,
taking into account instructor availability, vehicle usage, training modules
(theoretical and practical), and government driving license protocols.

Recent technologies such as cloud-based systems, mobile integration, and

biometric attendance have been successfully adopted in various learning
institutions, indicating the potential of such innovations in driving school
setups. By adapting these trends, this project aims to build a robust, scalable,
and customizable application for driving schools.

3. Objectives of the Study:

The primary objectives of the Car Driving School Management System are:

 To automate and digitize the operational activities of a driving school.

 To allow online registration and scheduling of students and instructors.
 To manage the availability and usage of vehicles and trainers.
 To maintain complete student records, including attendance and test
results.
 To streamline the payment and billing process with receipts and reports.
 To improve communication between students, instructors, and
administrators.
 To enhance efficiency, transparency, and user experience through digital
means.
4. Research Methodology:

The development of this system will follow a Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC), primarily using the Waterfall or Agile model depending on the project's
complexity and flexibility needs. The research methodology includes the
following stages:
 Requirement Analysis: Collecting detailed requirements from local driving
schools, instructors, and learners through interviews and questionnaires.
 Feasibility Study: Evaluating technical, operational, and economic
feasibility to ensure the project is viable.
 Design Phase: Creating system flowcharts, ER diagrams, and UI wireframes
to represent the system’s structure.

 Development: Writing code for backend and frontend, developing modules

for student registration, scheduling, instructor and vehicle assignment, and
report generation.
 Testing: Performing unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance
testing to ensure system stability and reliability.
 Deployment: Installing the software on a live server or system and
providing user training.
 Maintenance: Ongoing support to address bugs, updates, or feature
requests.

The methodology also includes periodic reviews and feedback from

stakeholders to refine features and ensure that the system meets real-world
needs.

5. Technology to be Used:

The system will be a web-based application that may also extend into a
mobile-friendly version. Technologies involved include:
i. Frontend:
 HTML5, CSS3 for structure and design
 JavaScript and Bootstrap for responsive interface
 React.js or Angular (for advanced UI features, optional)

ii. Backend:
 PHP / Python (Django / Flask) / Node.js for business logic
 RESTful APIs for communication between client and server

iii. Database:
 MySQL / PostgreSQL to store user data, schedules, records, and
transactions

iv. Authentication & Security:

 User roles (admin, instructor, student) with secured login
 Password hashing, input validations, and SSL for data protection

v. Additional Tools:
 Google Maps API for location tracking of driving routes
 Email/SMS APIs for communication and reminders
 PDF generation libraries for certificates and receipts

The system will be scalable and can be hosted on cloud services such as AWS
or Firebase for better availability and performance.
