The dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy defines repentance as a sorrow for having done something; without
embargo, if we see this definition in light of the Word of God, repentance carries with it, not
not just a regret or pain, but beyond that definition, repentance refers to recognizing the

However, this indication of the Spirit through the law does not end there, as it similarly shows the

Repentance is an attitude that, as we will see later, is not limited to manifesting itself in sinners who
they need to be saved; rather, it is a characteristic that must be constantly manifested in everything

1. IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE
The preaching of the gospel in the New Testament begins with a man named John the Baptist, who
he was proclaiming, saying: Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has come near (Mt. 3:1-2) of the same
way, when Christ ascends to heaven he leaves the order, which would later be known as The Great Commission, that

It's easy to understand what God says in His Word (2 Tim. 2:25).
There are many additional benefits that come with regret; however, we give way to the
initiative of the disciple to seek them in the Word of God and apply them in his life.
There is currently a huge number of Christians who have fallen into sins that, in turn, have

who has sinned, should approach their communion again. (1 John 1:8-9, Rev. 2:5).
Remorse is a word that could be confused with regret; however, although they might seem
having the same manifestations, the fruits that each of these attitudes will produce will be very
different (Mt 3:8), to clarify the concept, let’s look at some examples:
a. Judas: the Bible says that Judas, after betraying the Lord, went and hanged himself (Mt. 27:3-5), however never
showed a repentant heart, unlike Peter the apostle, who after denying the Lord, went and wept
bitterly. The latter was justified, as he chose the right path: The path of repentance.
b. Esau: The Pratt Bible mentions in Hebrews 12:16 that what Esau desired to obtain with tears was his
father regretted giving the blessing to Jacob and not precisely his own. Therefore it was
rejected and his birthright given to his younger brother.
c. The Pharaoh of Egypt (Ex. 8:8). The Scriptures show us the Pharaoh displaying an "apparent"
repentance with the purpose that God would remove the plagues in Egypt; but later, when they
they withdrew, he withdrew.
Just as there are blessings and benefits to choosing an attitude of repentance, so too
God also shows us in His Word some consequences that come from the lack of it. For example:
a. Punishment came upon Tyre and Sidon for not repenting (Luke 10:13).
b. Condemnation (Luke 11:32).
a. David: Being king of Israel, having at his disposal any maiden he wanted to take for himself,
he chose Bathsheba and committed adultery with her. God comes and rebukes him through the prophet Nathan and
David repents; however, although his sin was forgiven, it does not go without consequences.
David's true repentance managed to touch God's heart.
b. The prodigal son (Lk. 15:11-24). After having squandered the inheritance that his father gave him, he came to his senses and
he said:... I will go to my father and tell him: Father I have sinned against heaven and against you..., the prodigal son returned
repentant and God restored what he had lost.

iii. It does not depend on what we feel. Human feelings are very variable by nature.

more deceitful than everything, is the heart (feelings), and without remedy; who will understand it? The being
human many times does not even understand himself, that's why such a great salvation does not depend on a

i. His son Jesus Christ did the perfect work of redemption (salvation). The perfect work that Jesus did

God places before the new believer for them to take it by faith. The following are some of these.
benefits
According to the eternal purpose which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have SECURITY AND
ACCESS with confidence through faith in Him.” Ephesians 3:11-12.
i. Fatherhood, Jn. 1:11-12: The Bible is clear when it states that one can only be a child of the Father,
receiving and believing in His Son Jesus Christ. God adopts the believer through the Holy Spirit and never
will forget him (Is. 49:15). Just as a son may disobey his father, a son of God also
He can disobey it, that is to say, he can sin, therefore God will discipline him (Heb. 12:6-8),
with love, to perfect it.
ii. Eternal life, John 3:16: The purpose of God is for every person to experience the eternal life that He
grants, but because of sin, it is interrupted, so now everyone who believes in
Jesus Christ can experience the eternal and abundant life that Christ offers (John 10:10).
iii. Forgiveness of sins, Col. 2:13: The Bible teaches that through one man death entered through sin, but
for through one man forgiveness also entered, that is, Jesus Christ; therefore, recognizing his sacrifice
expiatory, His Blood erases all sins, regardless of their size or severity.
iv. A new creation, 2 Cor. 5:17: At the moment of knowing the Son of God, a process begins
regeneration, which highlights the beginning of a new state of affairs in contrast to the old
It is an upward process in which it is claimed that 'old things are passing away and
they all come to be made new." In this process, progress is made as the new believer

of sin (Egypt), and to obtain a new citizenship, Christ affirms that he has gone to prepare a place, "for
that where I am, you may be also" (Jn. 14:3), not for a day, but eternally and forever.
vi. He is integrated into the body of Christ. The new believer is made a member of the Body of Christ (1 Co.
12:12), which is the Church, is no longer alone, it has an identity, now the members of the church are its
brothers, your family, therefore, cannot go alone either, but will have to learn to
subject themselves to the members of the body (1 Co. 12:14-20).
vii. Gifts are given to him. The Holy Spirit gives gifts, which are more than just gifts, abilities that God
to the believers for the building up of His Church (1 Cor. 14:12). These gifts enable the new
believer grow and develop towards maturity, giving the opportunity to serve within the Church.

Cristo affirmed in John 17:12 that none of those given to him as children were lost, therefore, the assurance
salvation does not depend on us, but on God's faithfulness to His promises and covenants, through
the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and the perfection that the Holy Spirit brings to each believer.

perfect and His blood, unlike the ancient covenant, does not cover but completely cleanses all sin. Therefore
the lost and hopeless man can be saved by the blood that was shed on the cross of
Calvary for the Lamb of God. The Bible declares that the Christian is chosen by God the Father, by the work
sanctifying of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood (1 Pet. 1:2-3), as a consequence
we can enjoy its benefits, some of them are:
1. PURIFY: The Christian must know and experience the benefits of that blessed blood, since from
who received Jesus Christ in his heart, began to act in the new life until being presented pure before
of the Lord, and live forever with God. The law given by Moses established that every sin had to be
to be purified with blood, through a sacrifice (Lev. 14:25), and in the book of Hebrews, it is said that almost everything
is purified with blood, according to the law of Moses (Heb. 9:22). The word "purified" is translated from
Greek Katharizo, which means: to clean and free from all mixture (Strong 2511), which indicates that the blood of
Christ cleanses any type of sin (2 Cor. 5:17).
2. IN HER THERE IS REDEMPTION: The word 'redemption' is translated from the Greek Lutroo which means: to liberate
against receipt of a ransom (Strong 3084), this means to release by paying a price of
rescue, that's why the work of Jesus Christ redeemed men from all iniquity (Titus 2:14), He rescued us from the
way of living that was inherited from the parents (1 Peter 1:18), from the slavery of tradition, and the only payment
the precious blood of Jesus Christ was the ransom.
3. REMOVE THE SIN: In the New Testament, it is taught that the blood of bulls and male goats does not
they can remove sins (Heb. 10:4), but only that of Christ, who once and for all made a single
sacrifice for sins (Heb. 10:12) of all humanity (1 John 2:2). The blood of Christ takes away sin,
because in Him there is no sin. (1 John 3:5). The word 'take away' is translated from the Greek 'airo' which means 'to lift up.'
carry, take up or out (Strong 142), for Christ carried our sins upon his shoulder, the

which indicates that the blood of Christ cleanses the believer from all sin, and even diseases, like to the
leper who told Jesus that if He wanted, He could make him clean (Matt 8:2).
5. CLEANSE YOUR CONSCIENCE, Hebrews 9:14: The blood of Christ cleanses the conscience from dead works, which
allows the believer to serve God. Conscience refers, according to the VINE dictionary, to 'that faculty

of thought that distinguishes what it considers morally good or bad, praising the good, condemning
the bad, and thus pushing to do the first and to avoid the last.
Using these definitions, we understand that the blood of Christ is sufficient to cleanse the
believer's thought, strengthening his conscience to clearly distinguish (1 Cor. 8:7) between what
what comes from God and not to be influenced by what comes from the enemy.
6. WE HAVE PERMANENCE IN THE SON, John 6:56: The act of the Lord's Supper provides permanence in
the Son, since Christ affirmed that whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood will remain in Him, and He
in the (believer).
7. WE HAVE COMMUNION, 1 Corinthians 10:16: "Communion" is translated from the Greek Koinonia, which means: to have
in common, companionship, the part one has in anything, participation, a companionship
recognized and enjoyed (Strong 2842). Believers have fellowship with Christ, through the
participation in the Lord's Supper.
8. BRINGS US CLOSER TO GOD, Ephesians 2:13: The Bible says that in former times, man walked far from God,
disobedient (Ro. 11:30), however, through the blood of Christ, was made near to God. The blood
of Christ changes the heart to bring us closer to God.
9. THERE IS ENTRANCE TO THE HOLIEST PLACE, Hebrews 10:19: The Holiest Place was the place of the Tabernacle
built by Moses, where the Ark of the Covenant was, which represents the presence of God; but now
by the Blood of Christ we have access to the true Holy of Holies, to know the Lord more closely and
let us rejoice in Him.
10. HE SANCTIFIES US, Hebrews 10:10: The blood of Christ over the believer's life sanctifies and regenerates, therefore
we must not underestimate it, nor regard it as insignificant, since God will punish anyone who considers it unclean.
10:29.
11. HE BRINGS US PEACE, Colossians 1:20: The Lord brings peace to the believer's life through his blood, with the
purpose of reconciling him with the Father, and presenting him holy, blameless, and irreproachable. (Col. 1:22).
12. HE MAKES US FIT, Hebrews 13:20-21: "Fit" is translated from the Greek word Katartizo, which means: to make.
to make fit, equip, and prepare (Strong 2675). The blood of Christ makes the believer fit to do His will,
removing or adding aspects in their life that will allow them to grow and be built up.
13. IT IS A SIGN OF A NEW COVENANT, Hebrews 8: 8-13: God establishes a new covenant, with better promises
than the former. Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant (Heb. 12:24), which was sealed with blood and made sufficient

the soul receives the first administration (Ro. 6:1-11); at the moment of resurrection, the body will be born again, and
it will be transformed from a body of corruption to an incorruptible one, in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor. 15:52).
When the believer is not baptized, the bonds remain on him, but through baptism he is freed from
many of them.
E
In the book of the Acts of the Apostles, we read that the Ethiopian eunuch was returning from worshiping in Jerusalem,
reading the Scriptures, but he did not understand them, so Philip announced the gospel to him and then baptized him (Acts.
8:27-40). The word baptism is translated from the Greek word baptizo, which means: to immerse repeatedly.
sometimes, to be immersed, to purify by immersion or to submerge oneself, to be made clean with water and to submerge oneself
(Strong G907), this indicates that baptism purifies us. It is also translated as debaptoque which means: to wet or

a vessel in another larger one, etc. It is derived from Baptista, which is the process of submersion and immersion.

The Ocean Dictionary One says: Submersion is putting something underneath (inside) the water or another liquid.

There were several containers or holes, which contained different shades. Depending on the color they desired, that was how they chose the.
container in which was the liquid that would be used to 'wet' the fabric. This teaches us that when the Christian
it is baptized is dyed the color of Christ. The baptism in water has several benefits, some of them are:
1. FORGIVENESS OF SINS, Acts 2:38: The Bible teaches that through repentance and baptism God
forgive our sins, for we are purified and cleansed. The word forgiveness is translated from the

indicating that baptism in water frees us from sin and breaks chains.
2. FREEDOM FROM SLAVERY, 1 Corinthians 10:2: The Bible indicates that when the people of Israel crossed the sea
red was baptized in the cloud and in the sea, going from being slaves to being free. Freedom translates from Greek
eleutheria, which means: to be free to live according to our pleasures (Strong 1657), implying
that baptism frees us from living in sin, idolatry, witchcraft, sorcery, the vain way of living
inherited from our parents (1 Peter 1:18), to obey Christ.

3. WEAKENING OF THE OLD MAN, Romans 6:1-11: This passage indicates that we have been baptized
in the death of Jesus Christ. The word 'death', in this passage, is translated from the Greek thanatos which means:
the separation of the soul from the body, causing the body to cease functioning and returning to dust (Strong 2288). This
it indicates to us that baptism reduces the old man to impotence (Mt. 12:29), so that the new man
can grow and become strong. When the Christian is not baptized, the old man is strong and dominates him.
leading him to sin.
4. BURIED, Romans 6:2-4; Colossians 2:20: In Genesis 3:19 after Adam sinned the Lord said to him
he said: "with the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken."
For you are dust, and to dust you shall return,” this teaches us that every man must die to return to the
land from where it was taken, but the Lord left baptism to make us one with Jesus Christ in his death and
resurrection, thus fulfilling Genesis 3:19.
Sepultura translates from the Greek sunthaptoque meaning: to bury with, together (Strong 4916); it is used
only in a metaphorical sense, of the believer's identification with Christ in his burial, as it is exposed
in baptism (Vine Dictionary). When we are immersed in water, we are buried to sin,
together with Jesus Christ, in such a way that as a consequence we can no longer practice sin; and
When we are raised, we are resurrected together with Him.
5. WE RESURRECT TO WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE: The word resurrect has its origin in the Greek root.
sunegeiroque means: to raise together with (Strong 4891) and is used for spiritual resurrection.
believer with Christ (Rom. 6:4) In the same way that when the Lord Jesus Christ rose, He had a body
spiritual, when we are raised from the waters of baptism, we are resurrected together with him and we are
changed to walk in newness of life.
6. GOOD CONSCIENCE, 1 Peter 3:21: The Vine Dictionary says that to regenerate is to highlight the beginning of a new
state of things in contrast with the old and the word consciousness is translated from the Greek suneidesis
it means knowing oneself with and the testimony given by one's own conduct through conscience (Strong 4893), is
to say, conscience is the thought process that distinguishes what is considered morally good or bad,
praising the good, condemning the bad, and thus encouraging the former and avoiding the latter (Dictionary
Vine).
Before coming to the Lord, our conscience was filled with sin, so much so that even though its function
He used to rebuke us when we sinned, but he no longer did so, but at the moment we came to the Lord
we obtain a neutral conscience, which distinguishes between good and bad, and then in baptism we obtain a
good conscience (1 Cor. 2:12-15).
7. BECOME DISCIPLES, Matthew 28:19: The Lord Jesus Christ said that whoever believes in Him and is
baptized, would be established as his disciple, therefore, baptizing us enables us to become
disciples, that is to be moved from the category of listener and believer to that of disciple.
8. TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RESURRECTION, Romans 6:5: In this passage, the word resurrection comes from the word
griegaanastasisque means: a raising (Strong 386) (ana: up and jistemi: to set upright; Strong
450 and 2476), so the Christians who heard about baptism had the opportunity to be baptized.
but they did not do it, and they died without that condition, they will not resurrect.

The instructions that the Lord gave to Israel to celebrate it were:
a. To kill a lamb for each family (v.3-4),
b. The lamb should be without defect (v.5),
c. To smear part of the blood on the posts and lintels of the doors of the houses (only the first time v.7),

a. IT WAS ESTABLISHED BY JESUS: The night he was betrayed, the Lord said, 'do this in
memory of me" (Luke 22:19), which was later revealed to the Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 11:23-25). It is
an ordinance that must be obeyed (Matt. 28:20; John 8:31; 1 John 3:22).
b. THE ELEMENTS, THE BREAD AND THE WINE: When many disciples did not understand the teaching of
eating the bread that came down from heaven, they turned away (Jn. 6:60, 66), some time later the Apostle Paul
invites to discern the body of the Lord when taking the bread and the wine (1 Cor. 11:29). In this act we participate
symbolically, not literally, of the flesh and blood of the Lord (Jn. 6:52-56).
i. The Bread, Luke 22:19: The Lord said that He was the living bread which came down from Heaven (Jn. 6:51). In John
6 speaks of his flesh, his body: that it is true food (from the Greek brosis: food, nourishment.
Strong 1035). When the Lord said 'this is my body which is broken for you, given', teaches
the symbolism of the act, which refers to consubstantiation (the reality of Christ in the act not in
the elements). It symbolizes the communion with the brothers, who being many, we are part of the
mystical body of Christ that was broken (1 Co. 12:12), and that to be in Him, we must love each other
each other (1 Peter 1:22); it also reminds us that we are no longer orphans, but children of
God (Jn. 14:18; 1 Jn. 3:1; Heb. 12:9).
ii. The Wine, Matthew 26:27-28: The blood (haima.Strong 129) is the essence of life (Lv. 17:11), and the
Sir presented it as a true drink (posis: drink, represented in the juice of the grapes or
wine. Strong 4213), when he said "this is my blood," which is shed for life. It represents the
communion with the Lord, since the shed blood means forgiveness of sins (Heb. 9:22), and peace
of man towards God (2 Cor. 5:19) by which we have access to the Holy of Holies where it is
the Lord on his throne of grace (Heb. 4:16).
7. PURPOSES
a. Remember the death and resurrection of the Lord, 1 Corinthians 11:24: The soul tends to forget the goodness of
God (Ps.103:2), for one of the purposes of the Supper is to remember the sacrifice of the Lord on the cross (Phil.
2:8), to keep hope alive (Ro. 5:2), and to be set apart for Him (1 Jn. 3:3).
b. To have eternal life in themselves, John 6:51, 53: By judging ourselves in the Holy Supper (1 Co.
We must rid ourselves of what is not beneficial and displeasing to God and so that He may cleanse us.
When we eat the Holy Supper, we are eating Christ and his life (Zoe), which is in us (Jn. 6:57).

fathers (Gn. 5:3), when we partake of the blood we are introducing Divine genetics into our
life, to strip off the old man (Eph. 4:22), and thus take on the image of the new man (1 Cor. 15:48),
until we all reach the stature of the perfect man, our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 4:13).
f. Not to be judged with the world: By using personal judgment, guided by the Holy Spirit, we are
convicted of sin (Jn. 16:8), which leads us to repentance and to be in the will of God (2
Co. 7:10).
g. Maintain the power of salvation, Acts 2:42, 46: It is an opportunity to enjoy mercy
God for restoration (1 Cor. 11:28), for which we must participate.
a. In his memory: We should not approach his table as a ritual (Mt. 15:8), but in memory of his
sacrifice, in his honor (1 Cor. 11:24-25), announcing that through his death, He paid the debt of
sin: past (Eph. 2:1-2), present (1 John 2:1), and with future expectation "until He comes", that is,
it implicitly carries the announcement of his resurrection and return, because He lives (Lk. 24:5), it produces joy and happiness to
those who have attained the forgiveness of sins (1 Co. 15:14).
b. Discern the body of the Lord: It is to distinguish that what is done is not only in a physical ceremony (Lk.
22:15), but an act with a high spiritual content: it is the substance of the bread that represents the body of
Christ (Col. 1:18a), understanding that in his body 'He bore the punishment for our peace, who was wounded for
our transgressions and by his stripes we were healed" (Is. 53:5). It is also to love the brother as
He loves us (Jn. 15:12), so as not to be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord (1 Co. 11:29).
c. Participate worthy: It is not about being perfect to participate (Lk. 22:31-32), but about seeking the
perfection in Him (Mt. 26:75); it is the opportunity to judge ourselves by settling accounts
with God (1 Co. 11:28), not guided by the soul, because it tends to justify itself (Lc. 12:19), but by
through the Holy Spirit, who guides us to all truth (Jn. 16:13). To participate worthily is to recognize
our condition of weakness and ask for help to avoid being judged by the world and not be accused
for the devil.
d. Not for ritualism: When the body of the Lord is not discerned, it is practiced as a ceremony (1 Co.
11:20-22), which should not be done because the Lord has specifically warned about it through the
Apostle Paul.
e. In the communion of the Holy Spirit: The dinner was prepared in an upper room (Luke 22:12), a figure of the
search for communion with God (Ex. 24:15-16).
f. Frequency, 1 Corinthians 11:25b: The Bible does not indicate how many times one should participate, neither minimum nor maximum;
however, it indicates that it must be done constantly

communion is having participation in the common or making ourselves common among each other. In other words, it is a
attitude or familiar interaction among Christians. It is a participation or communication that believers have.
among themselves, where we mutually share spiritual, material, and other kinds of goods. In summary,
Communion is to be or have the same feeling.
The word communion comes from the Greek term koinonia which means: help, fellowship, contribution,
communication, offering, participation. That word derives from the Greek root koinos, whose meaning is to become.
common, which denotes an attitude in which the same quality or belonging is shared. The Bible allows us to
see that we have access to communion with God and with our brothers, let us see.
1. COMMUNION WITH THE FATHER, 1 John 1:3 The word of God declares: 1. That no one can approach the Father
it is by the Son (John 14:6) 2. In this dispensation of Grace, we have been given the title of Sons of God, by
means of recognizing the redemptive sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12).
These are two reasons why we have communion with the Father, so that we have the privilege of
to approach with full confidence to His throne; to praise Him, worship Him, bless Him, find grace, mercy and
help for our lives (He. 4:16).
2. COMMUNION WITH THE SON, 1 Corinthians 1:9, The Father calls us to have fellowship with His Son. This is a union or
spiritual participation between one who has been born again and the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the head or highest.
the authority of us believers (Eph. 1:22-23). We have communion with Him through His Grace, for
that we must remain in obedience and in holiness.

grafted into it. Now we are children of God, nourished by the same root and partakers of the rich sap that
it's His blood (Rom. 11:16-17). One of the practical ways to manifest that we have communion with Him is by
means of:
a. The holy supper 1 Co. 10:16-17. The Bible indicates that the cup of blessing and the bread that we break is the
communion of the blood and body of the Lord, furthermore, when we participate in the same bread we symbolize
the unity we have among us as the Body of Christ and we affirm that it is the Bread of Life that us
nourishes all believers.
3. COMMUNION WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, 2 Corinthians 13:14 In the Old Testament, it was typified the
ministry of the Holy Spirit through oil (Ex. 29:7; Is. 61:1). In this Dispensation, the Holy Spirit has

convince the world of justice, sin, and judgment (John 16:8). Through Him we were baptized to form a
only body (1 Cor. 12:13). One of the practical ways to manifest our communion with the Holy Spirit
is the following:
a. Having spiritual unity among brothers, Phil. 2:1-2, The fellowship among the children of God is the
result of the government of the Holy Spirit in each one of us. Believers are called to have
affectionate love, to show us affection constantly, not only through words but also with
Facts. We must have the same love, the same heart, the same thought.
4. COMMUNION WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST, 1 John 1:7 From what was mentioned earlier, we summarize that when
we keep the communion with God alive, we can have communion among ourselves; by staying in a
same project, working together, serving each other mutually. Let’s take a detailed look at how
It makes communion (Gr Koinonía) latent, analyzing its synonyms, in different parts of the Bible:
a. Participation 2 Co. 8:1-4, being one body, the needs of others become our own.
The church of Macedonia gives us an example of what participation is, because despite its poverty
they begged to be allowed to take part in the grace of giving. They donated material goods to alleviate the
penalties of the believers of Jerusalem.
There will be situations in our life where we must show what the result of giving ourselves to...
God. One of them is, when we offer spontaneously as a testament to our sincere love to
our neighbor. It can also be carried out by contributing our goods, our talents, our
profession and our time in the work of God.
b. Fellowship Gal 2:9 RVA, the Hebrews and Greeks had a common practice and that was to shake hands like
sign of companionship, that act also manifested a vow of approval and friendship. Having
Communion implies friendship, good harmony, coexistence, and correspondence among brothers.
In our gatherings, brotherly love must be present, because we have a common purpose. People
those who persist in maintaining worldly friendships run the risk of displeasing God (James 4:4)
we must have friends among ourselves, joining together and helping each other.
c. Communication Flm. 1:6 BNC, another form of communion is the communication of faith, which we designate,
as a correspondence that exists between two or more people, where our maturity becomes noticeable
and fidelity. This includes not creating marginal groups within the church, but rather seeking communication.
with all those we can.
An extreme example of communion is seen when the apostle Paul begs Philemon to share
his faith, to make known the good that dwells in his heart. This communication was to manifest itself in
to forgive and receive again in his house, the slave Onesimus, who had previously caused him harm.
The previous narration allows us to analyze that in communion there must be manifested; 1. Love for the
brothers who have sinned, have strayed from the gospel, but return with a repentant heart, 2.
Sincerely forgiving for the damages received and 3. Acceptance again between us, without reproaches.

The generosity of the Christian towards his brothers is rooted in the example of our Lord, who being rich
he became poor to enrich us (2 Cor. 8:9). There are times when our brothers are

09 FATHERHOOD
God, having spoken long ago in many times and in many ways to the fathers by
the prophets
Hebrews 1:1
L
The Bible teaches that human beings are tripartite beings, formed by spirit, soul, and body (1 Thess. 5:23), for which
both the believer has a Father of the spirit who is God (Heb. 12:9); a father of the body, that is, the father
biological and a spiritual father, who is the minister that covers him (Ti. 1:4; 1 Jn. 2:1; 2:12; He. 13:17). God delegated
the biological parents the task of preparing the heart and mind of their children, instructing them in discipline and the
fear of God, but most biological parents have failed in that task, hence the reason why God
provides parents of the soul, ministers who cover and support congregations, to restore the paternal image
distorted, to manifest the paternal image of God.
The Lord's disciples had the privilege of enjoying the fatherhood of their soul through the Lord Jesus Christ,
but at the same time they were taught to love, know, pray, and believe in the heavenly Father, that's why Jesus said: 'I am going to
my Father and your Father (John 20:17).
L
Dictionaries define the word fatherhood as a "state or quality of being a father" (MS Encarta), and father is
that 'man who has begotten' (Carozzi). The word to beget translates from the Greek gennao (Strong
g1080) which metaphorically refers to the act of God's grace in bestowing upon those who believe the
nature and the disposition of 'children', imparting to them spiritual life (Jn. 3:3,5,7; 1 Jn. 2:29; 3:9); to denote
the person who through the preaching of the gospel becomes the human instrument in the impartation of the
spiritual life (1 Cor. 4:15; Strong 1080, Vine Dictionary); this confirms that God takes the initiative to
impart His fatherhood, by grace, upon those who draw near to Him through Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:5).
One of the first things that God teaches is that He is the true Father and that we are not orphans. From there,
moment of conversion, we begin to enjoy the benefits. Let's see some of the benefits of the
fatherhood
1. THE REVELATION THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD, Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6.
This is the first benefit we acquire, a spirit of adoption, through which we can draw closer.
to God and call him daddy (Abba Father), and it is the Holy Spirit who testifies that we are children (Ro.
God reveals this truth to us from the new birth, as He desires that our relationship be one of
Father to son and not a distant relationship, that is why Jesus taught us to direct our prayer to the Father (Mt. 6:9;
18:19). Furthermore, Jesus Christ said that He would prepare a place for us (Jn. 14:2), because the Father gives us a
house, an eternal dwelling (Jn. 8:35).
Our name gives us identity and a sense of belonging to a family. The Bible indicates that from the Father
from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named (Eph. 3:15). In the natural sense, children are the reflection of
his parents; that's why the Lord told the Pharisees that if they had been children of Abraham, the works of
Abraham would have done. We, as children of God, must also do the works that He does.
The love of the Father gives us security and confidence, which is why Scripture says that perfect love casts out
fear (1 Jn. 4:18).

4. PROVISION FOR NEEDS, Matthew 6:8.
God provides for the body, soul, and spirit. The Bible says that anyone who does not provide for their own is worse than an
unfaithful and has denied the faith (1 Tim. 5:8). God knows what our need is and desires for us to seek the kingdom of
God and His justice, and let us ask according to His will (Mt. 6:33). The Lord made the comparison of care
from earthly parents with the care of the Heavenly Father, saying that if we being evil give
good gifts to our children, how much more will God provide to His (Mt. 7:11), He provides us with work, health, peace,
love, daily sustenance, etc.
5. RIGHT TO INHERITANCE, Romans 8:17, Galatians 4:7, Colossians 1:12:
At any time we can enjoy the inheritance; for the Bible says 'the heir, while he is a child, in
nothing differs from the slave, even if he is the owner of everything" (Gal. 4:1). and so that we do not live like the prodigal son
he wasted the inheritance (Luke 15:11-13) .
6. WORK IN YOUR VINEYARD, Matthew 21:28:
The Father empowers us to work in His work because He has given us of His gifts.
7. DISCIPLINE, Hebrews 12:7.
The Bible teaches that God is the father of mercy, comfort (2 Cor. 1:3), and discipline. Discipline is a
manifestation of love. Discipline translates from the Greek term paideuo, and refers to the act of instructing.

The Father keeps us while we are in the world because He promised to never leave us or forsake us.
One of the promises that the Lord made was that He would send the other Comforter to be with

Jacob showed his love for his son Joseph by dressing him in a coat of many colors (Gen. 37:3-4). The Father dresses us.
with the five ministries, and it also gives us the literal clothing (Matt 6:31-32).
When we come to Christ, God gives us a new spiritual language (Mark 16:17). That language is not understood
the enemy, but God does, that is why the Scripture says that when we speak in tongues, we speak mysteries (1
Co. 14:2).
Jesus Christ gave his body so that everyone who ate of that bread would live forever (John 6:51, 58), because
He was the bread that came down from heaven (Jn. 6:51); he also gives us the bread of his Word (Mt. 6:11), because not only of

Sin is translated from the Greek word Hamartia, which means to miss the mark, to evade a limit, to lose the...

that sin has over man, it exerts through the law (1 Cor. 15:56), with which we can say
that the law subjects us to sin and sin in turn leads us to death. That is why the Holy Spirit said, for

L
the five ministries are gifts in human form that Jesus Christ has distributed to his Church, until it reaches the
unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, until we reach the stature of the perfect man, to the measure
from the fullness of Christ; to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of
Christ (Eph. 4:12), and not be children tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrine.
(Eph. 4:14). The mission of the five ministries is to uproot, tear down, destroy, and overthrow (Jer. 1:10) all work of
darkness in our life, to then build and plant on the foundation that is Christ. These five ministries
apostolic, prophetic, magistral, evangelistic, and pastoral.
Jesus Christ, when he left, endowed the church with these 5 ministries, through the Holy Spirit, because it would do
greater works than those He did (Jn. 14:12), therefore, just as Jesus evangelized, pastored, and taught the people
From Israel, God also raises men to carry out this task, let us see:
1. APOSTOLIC MINISTRY (Wings of the eagle). The word apostle is translated from the Greek apostolos, which means
one who is sent and messenger (Strong 652) and from the Greek apostello which means to send for a service or
a commission (Strong 649). This word describes the relationship that exists between the minister and Christ (Dictionary
Vine), who does not care about dying, if necessary to fulfill his calling (Acts 20:24), and will not be able
to silence what they have seen and heard (Acts 4:19-20). The Bible shows apostles sent by the Father, by the Son and by
the Holy Spirit.
a. APOSTLES OF THE FATHER: JESUS CHRIST, Hebrews 3:1: The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the Apostle
sent by God the Father to carry out His Work.
b.APOSTLES OF THE SON: THE TWELVE APOSTLES (Mt. 10:2-4; Rev. 21:14). The twelve disciples are chosen by
the Lord to receive a special instruction, they were: Simon Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip,
Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, Simon the Zealot, Judas son of James and Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed him.
These twelve accompanied him in his earthly ministry, lived with him, were eyewitnesses of the
miracles, wonders, and signs that he performed in various situations, and then, sent to do everything
what Jesus had done and even more. The instructions for them were: go to the lost sheep of the house

2. APOSTOLIC FUNCTIONS. The Bible shows the functions that the apostles perform:
a. ESTABLISH DOCTRINE (Acts 2:41-42; Eph. 2:20) The apostle establishes sound doctrine as the foundation
to grow into a holy temple in the Lord. The eagle is a figure of the apostle, this animal is strong
musculature, fast flight at great heights, has great vision, builds its nest at the highest point of the
rock (Job 39:28-29), represents the swiftness of an army (Lam. 4:19), is an enemy of the serpent and
finally, when she eats something that intoxicates her, she looks for a high and hot rock to detoxify herself, figure of
that the apostle will seek the Eternal Rock which is Christ and the fire of the Spirit to scrutinize the doctrine,
discard what is useless and deliver to the people the sound doctrine.
b.COVER (Mt. 28:18-20). When the Lord Jesus rose, all authority in heaven and on earth was given to him,
he promises that he would be covering for his own every day until the end of the world, this power of covering was
delegated to the five ministries. When Jesus entered the house of the centurion (Mt. 8:8), he felt
indignant because in Jewish customs anyone who entered a house was under protection,
protection and authority. It is important to be under apostolic covering so that the house is not deserted.
(Mt. 23:37-39), to receive teaching and doctrine (Eph. 2:20-22).
c.SEND (Hch. 7:35, 9:5-18; Mt. 10:6-8). Just as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit sent their
messengers with specific commissions, thus the apostle has the authority to send, guided by the Spirit
Saint, to ministers to carry out ministerial functions of: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, or teacher.
3. PROPHETIC MINISTRY (Hen's wings). The word 'prophet' in the New Testament is translated from
griegoprofetesque means one who speaks publicly and openly, proclaimer of a divine message

5. EVANGELIST MINISTRY (Wings of a dove). "Evangelist" is translated from the Greek euanguelistés and means
messenger of the good, proclaim the pleasant news (Strong 2099), this indicates that the evangelists are
messengers who bring good news of the kingdom: salvation and eternal life. An evangelist takes out of the
captivity to many (Luke 4:18-19), characterized by love for lost souls, must be full of
Holy Spirit (Acts 2:2-4). It is a ministry that must endure afflictions while doing the Work (2 Tim. 4:5) and are
fishers of men (Mr. 1:17). Some evangelists mentioned in the New Testament are:
a. FELIPE (Acts 21:8). This is the only character who is called an evangelist; he was one of the seven.
men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, chosen to serve tables of the
church in Jerusalem (Acts 6:5). Philip evangelized Samaria, where many converted, he performed
miracles (Acts 8:4-8; 21:8), was taken in the Spirit by where the eunuch was passing, who was evangelized
and baptized (Acts 8:26-40). He evangelized Azoto (Ashdod) and the cities of the region, up to Caesarea.
6. FUNCTIONS OF THE EVANGELIST MINISTRY.
b. ANNOUNCE THE GOOD NEWS (PREACH THE GOSPEL). The primary function of the evangelist is
preach the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:2-4), as a consequence, wonders will follow
and signs that confirm the Word that he preaches (Acts 6:8). Through the Evangelical ministry, the Spirit
Saint pours a spirit of repentance upon the people who listen, and as a consequence, brings
reconciliation between God and them (2 Cor. 5:19), and God grants them His peace (Eph. 2:14). The evangelist is typified
on the wings of a dove (Ps. 55:6; 68:11-12), since the dove is an animal symbolizing reconciliation and peace.
HEAL AND RELEASE (Mt. 10:1-3). In the evangelist, the gifts of power are at work to heal ailments,
to liberate literally and spiritually, as the Lord Jesus did (Mt. 4:23-24). In Acts (8:5-7) it is seen that
Pablo had the power to heal; signs followed Philip, thus fulfilling what Jesus said,
whoever believes in Him could do not only the same works that He did, but even greater ones (Jn. 14:12).
d.TRAVELING THROUGH VILLAGES AND CITIES PREACHING (Acts 8:40; 15:36; 16:4-5). Out of love for those
lost souls, roams villages and cities, preaching the gospel, not caring about the inconveniences or
dangers.
The word 'pastor' is translated from Greek poimen, which means one who cares for flocks or herds, not
merely one who feeds them (Strong 4166), understanding that a shepherd leads and feeds the church;
with tender care and attentive supervision (Vine Dictionary). A good shepherd is recognized
because he gives his life for the sheep (Jn. 10:11), with the rod he corrects and with the staff he pastures (Ps. 23). Both in the

b. KEEPING THE FLOCK UNITED (Jn. 10:16). The good shepherd keeps his flock united, Jesus said that there are
some sheep that need to be brought into the flock so that there is only one shepherd, the action of 'bringing them' comes
from the Greek root ago which means: to drag, to celebrate, to grant, to guide, to go, to carry, to put in (Strong 71),
implying that the task of keeping the flock together is a series of actions, sometimes very gentle
(celebrate, grant, carry) but others are a little strong (drag, guide, get in), but all are necessary.
DEFEND FROM THE EVIL ONE THE SHEEP (1 S. 16:19). David's style was to defend the flock from bears and

d. THEY WATCH OVER THE SOULS OF THE SHEEP (Heb. 13:17; 1 Pet. 5:2). The Lord, through Paul, tells them

waiting for a reward, but out of love, to please the beloved, since the shepherd will account to God
about those He placed in his care.

as the Lord Jesus taught, because he did it with authority and in teaching, he guided, instructed, outlined well

12 FAITH IN GOD
For by grace you are saved through faith; and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not by
works, so that no one may boast.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
E
The theme of FAITH in the Bible is extremely important, as it highlights the fact of how the human being must
to place your trust in God. More than simple belief, faith goes much further, because Scripture
it teaches that the demons also believe and tremble (James 2:19), faith must develop to the point of telling him
a mountain that moves from one place to another (Mt. 17:20).
In the unconverted, faith acts to save him as it allows him to have confidence in God, His Word, and salvation through
the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is established on the principle of faith, in contrast to works (Rom.
1:17), and not by works so that no one can boast (Eph. 2:8-9).
L
The word faith is translated from the Greek Pistis, primarily meaning: firm persuasion and conviction based on what
ear (Strong 4102). It is used in the New Testament regarding faith in God, in Christ, or in spiritual things.
It is synonymous with trust, reliability, loyalty, and certainty. From this, it follows that according to Romans 10:14,
faith comes to a person when they have the opportunity to hear the Word of God. For this reason, the Church must
fulfill the mandate of the Lord 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature' (Mark 16:15)
because it will cause faith to be generated in the heart of the person for salvation.
a. Eternal life, John 3:36: This passage mentions the importance of placing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
since through it eternal life is obtained. This eternal life is not obtained by one's own merit, it

b. Salvation, Ro. 10:9: The word salvation is translated from the Greek soteria, denoting liberation and preservation.
It applies to spiritual liberation, from the bondage of sin that brings about
consequence eternal condemnation.
c. Justification, Ro. 5:1: The Bible teaches that God is just, and having established that every soul that

many promises, we can achieve the fulfillment of God's purpose in our life.
e. Peace with God, Rom. 5:1: The Bible states that when we believe in Christ we acquire peace with God.
This denotes that before that there was enmity on the part of the sinner who was doing his own justice.
The word peace is translated from the Greek 'eirene', which implies: harmonious relations, friendship, absence of
aggression, harmonious relationships between God and man (Strong 1515).
f. Good works are done, James 2:17: The Bible teaches that a person is saved by faith and not by works.
(Eph. 2:8-9); however, the apostle James explains that faith without good works is dead.
The believer in Christ does not do good works to be saved, because he is already saved, but as a consequence.

the mind is defined as the intellectual faculty of the soul, and as such, it is one of the most important parts
of our being because it is there where we must discern through the Spirit, the different voices that

constantly come to our mind, which will allow us to be free or trapped in a vicious circle
of ideas that can turn into obsessions (Prov. 23:7).

Let's see the benefits of drinking the spiritual milk from each of the ministries that the Lord has left for the
perfection of the Church (Eph. 4:11):

It teaches that the evangelistic ministry must produce milk to feed the Church; that is, it must not have
only a message to announce it to non-believers, rather than having the necessary doctrine to teach to the
Church. Philip is an example of how the evangelist must have doctrine to announce and teach the
Gospel; in Acts 8:12, we see the following three aspects:
a. He proclaimed the Gospel of the Kingdom of God,
b. Announced the Name of Jesus Christ and
c. He baptized men and women.
These show us how the milk of the Evangelist ministry announces the Gospel on different topics,
bringing people to water baptism, for which it is necessary to teach them why they should practice it.
In Acts 8:40 we see Philip again proclaiming the Gospel in all the cities, until he arrived at
Caesarea. In Acts 8:35 we see Philip teaching the Gospel of Jesus to the eunuch, until he brings him to
water baptism.

From the above, it is understood that the laying on of hands is 'to place upon' with the aim of adding something:
health at sea, blessing, delegation, sending, etc., in other words, it is allowing the Lord to use our
hands as a means of contact for blessing.

4. WHAT IS THE LAYING ON OF HANDS FOR?
It should be remembered that God has no molds, and does as He wishes. However, the Bible teaches some of the
blessings that are imparted with the laying on of hands:
a) To Administer Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:14-17): Samaria had received the Word and the
brothers had been baptized, denoting their commitment to the Lord, for this reason they sent coverings,
who prayed and laid hands on them so that they could be blessed and transferred with a
new dimension in their lives through baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:2).

delegated authority of God.
c) To Delegate Authority: The delegation of authority is clearly seen in the Old Testament, in the
in the case of Moses, he lays hands on Joshua to give him his dignity; he does it before the people as
evidence of his delegation (Num. 27:18-20). When Saul and Barnabas were sent, they were imposed the

authority was delegated to him, so that he does not falter in faith and work (1 Ti. 4:14), which the enemy sees and
Respect (Acts 19:15), how much more should a Christian recognize it (Rom. 13:1) to be blessed.
d) To Minister Spiritual Gifts (2 Tim. 1:6): It is the Holy Spirit who grants the gifts (1 Cor. 12:11), which
gifts are given through the laying on of hands. It is important to remember that one who possesses a gift cannot
to act at will, but rather it is a vessel that God uses. Paul knew what the Lord had given him and for
what had been given to him, that's why he made a precise administration of it (Ro.1:11).
e) To Bless (Lev. 9:22a): Ministers are a delegated authority of God, therefore it should be
to take advantage of all the good that delegation brings. The Word shows that there were many signs made
through the hands of the Apostles, who blessed the people of God (Acts 5:12). The Lord Jesus Christ gave
example (Mr.10:16). Christians should also take this opportunity to bless and be
blessed.
D
ios is the source of all blessing (James 1:17), and as His thoughts are continuously good towards the
humanity, and especially towards its children (Jer.29:11), for which it provides the means to obtain that
blessing. No one can wield the power of God at will through the laying on of hands (Acts 8:20),
therefore, one must be attentive to his voice to understand that God has plans for everyone. God wishes to use
to the Christian (Is.6:8) in order to bless (Ge.48:13,20) giving freely what has been received freely (Mt.10:8) and
to reach that (award) for which he was reached (2 Thess. 2:14).

man was created with that same purpose, to praise God (Eph. 1:6). However, after God delegated to

so that all the people would offer sacrifices and offerings. Let's consider the following aspects:
It is important to see that praise and worship have a heavenly origin, which is why we see that God has beings who
they praise and worship (Rev. 4:8; Luke 2:13-14). Scripture relates that Lucifer was in charge of music and the
praises in heaven (Ez. 28, Is. 14; Is. 14:12); his name is translated from Hebrew halal which means praise and
to celebrate (Strong 1984). It was created amid praise (Ez. 28:13), the ornaments of his celestial garment were
drums, flutes, and harps (Is. 14:11 KJV).
1. WHAT IS PRAISE?
There are several Hebrew and Greek words that encompass the concept of praise, but Psalms 22:3 speaks to us
that God dwells in the midst of the praises of his people, and therefore manifests himself in it. Praise is the
form of expression of Christians to give glory and honor to the Lord. Through the body, God is praised.
dancing, twirling, shouting with joy, jumping, applauding, singing, etc. On the other hand, praise
it is the expression that leads to the presence of God; it is also a strategy of God to achieve victories, like
it was for Israel that, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, amidst praise, the walls collapse
Jericho (Josh. 6:5).

Basic Instructions
The first time the word praise appears in the Bible is in Genesis 29:35, when Leah gave birth to the fourth.
Jacob's son said, 'This time I will praise the Lord,' and for this he called his name Judah, for which, in the Bible
we found that Judah, a warrior tribe, was at the front of the formation of the people to conquer territories
enemies (Jude 1:1-2). From this tribe descends David, the sweet singer of Israel and the Lord Jesus Christ himself.
Lion of the tribe of Judah (Rev. 5:5).
David was the most prolific man in praise for several situations: he played the instruments that
he interpreted (1 Sam. 16:18), ministered with music (1 Sam. 16:23), sang (2 Sam. 23:1), invented instruments
musicals (2 Chr. 7:6), established ministers who continuously praised the Lord (1 Chr. 25:1) Asaf, Heman and
Jeduthun, and he appointed singers with musical instruments for the praise of God (1 Chron. 15:16-28) carrying the ark.
of the pact. David has a key importance in the praise of this time, because God promised (Amos 9:11;
Hch. 15:16), restore the tabernacle of David, which is closely linked with praise.
2. EXPRESSIONS OF PRAISE:
It is said that expressions of praise should start in the spirit, motivated by the
Holy Spirit (Phil. 2:13), then transcends to the soul (Ps. 103:2), to finally manifest in the body (Ps.
63:3), that is to give tribute to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords with the whole being. Some of them are:
a. Fruit of lips: The fruit of lips refers to the instrument that one has to confess His majesty, His
greatness, etc. The Bible says that from the mouth can proceed blessing and cursing (James 3:8-10) teaching
with this, the power that God has left in the mouth, in the lips. The fruit of lips is not necessarily
sing a song that was learned, but a spontaneous song that springs from a grateful heart.
The RVA version says in Isaiah 57:19, 'I am the one who creates the fruit of lips,' this shows that the fruit of lips is
a new creation that God is inspiring in the heart and consequently in the mouth (1 Cor. 2:9).
b. Shout of Joy: The shout of joy translates from the Hebrew word teruah, which means clamor, that is, a
acclamation of joy or a battle cry, especially a shout (vibrant and prolonged sound)
of the trumpet as an alarm (Strong 8643). It is a cry with understanding where truths are expressed.
(Judges 7:20).
c. New song (Rev. 5:9): He who has known the Lord Jesus as personal Lord and Savior possesses a
new song because he has passed from death to life, has experienced the deep love of God, acquires
an incalculable value because it is worth the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18).
3. WHAT IS WORSHIP?
To render a sacred worship, to reverence God with utmost honor. According to the Hebrew and the Greek, we can add
what is prostrating, bowing, reverencing, serving, obeying. The first time the word worship appears in
the Bible is in the Old Testament, when Abraham goes to offer his son as worship to God
(Gen. 22:5). At no point do we find music in this passage, this means that worship more than

to kneel or bow to pay homage or show reverence (Strong 4352). Therefore, worship is the
attitude or the internal intention of the heart of man towards God, understood as obedience, service, the
surrender, love, etc. That is, worship does not imply a specific time of worshiping God but rather a form
of life, a lifestyle of a person who has communion with God. For this reason, the Lord is seeking
worshipers in spirit and in truth because it is the Holy Spirit that will prepare our lives to worship God
in that way, operating in our human spirit. We must remember that the way God us
to have communion with Him is from Spirit (of God) to spirit (human; John 4:24).

5. THE MUSIC
The word music is not mentioned as such in the Bible; it does not appear in Hebrew or Greek.
translating for example in Luke 15:25, but it translates from the Greek 'symphonia' which means in Spanish 'sinfonía'.
Music plays a very important role within the alabanza and it is important to differentiate
that they are not equivalent terms but rather complement each other. Music is not essential to praise God,
since God has created us for praise, we have our mouth to sing, hands, feet, etc., but
we include a determined time (rhythm), musical instruments, etc., and then it is achieved
truly a party for God, complementing each other.
The timbrels (Ezekiel 28:13 RV60) represent the percussion; the flutes represent the winds, and the harps represent
they represent the strings (Is. 14:11), denoting that in heaven there is music (Ap. 5:8).
Biblically, music also represents a means of communication, a language primarily between
us and God (Ps. 119:164) but also among brothers (Eph. 5:19), between husband and wife (Song of Songs), to the
congregation (Ps. 22:25), to the nations (Ps. 18:49), etc. The music of God is what gives importance to
spirit, to the soul and to the body under divine purposes. David appointed in 1 Chronicles 16 and 25 ministers who

Revelation 18:22 describes the music of Babylon and the Greek word used is 'esmousikos' which means
devoted and expert in the sacred arts of the muses (Strong 3451), and according to the Vine Dictionary, dedicated
to the muses. The interesting thing is that the word musician refers to harpists, flutists, and trumpeters, who in
Popular language would consider them musicians, but the Bible distinguishes some as those who interpret.
an instrument and others are those that are consecrated or contaminated with the muses.
According to Greek mythology, the Muses were 9 goddesses, daughters of Zeus and the goddess Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory.
Memory. The Muses presided over the Arts and the Sciences and it was believed that they inspired artists,
especially to poets, philosophers, and musicians. Calliope was the muse of Epic Poetry, Clio the muse of History,
Euterpe of Music, Melpomene of Tragedy, Terpsichore of Song and Dance, Erato of Poetry
erotic, Polymnia of Sacred Poetry, Urania of Astronomy and Thalia of Comedy.
Linking this information, the Bible states that the enemy was in charge of music in the
heaven, and in Ezekiel 28:13 it describes that in his attire he had nine precious stones (excluding gold that
is not considered a gemstone). These nine stones represent feminine entities, and this tells us

A praise is the form of expression that Christians use to give glory and honor to the Lord, such as:
to applaud, to dance, to shout with joy, to sing, to swirl, etc., accompanied by music while
Worship is offering sacred devotion to God, it is to revere the Lord with utmost honor, it is an attitude that arises
from the heart, which can sometimes be accompanied by music, but other times not.
Praise and worship complement each other; if a Christian praises without worship, it can be compared to a metal that
it resonates like a cymbal that clangs. Both must necessarily merge to achieve the goal of having
full intimacy with God (Ps. 51:16-17, Is. 29:13). For this reason, the Lord seeks worshipers in spirit and in truth, to

Your request is only carried out by the friends of God. It is important to know the characteristics of the stage towards the
maturity, to progress in it, let's see:
LISTENERS, Romans 10:14, 17
The word listener is translated from the Greek akouo which means to hear (Strong 191), which has two uses: to hear sounds.
You hear the meaning of a message; that's why some have ears, they hear the sounds of the Word, but not its
meaning and that is why they do not receive it. The parable of the good sower (Mt. 13:18-23) shows us that all
the classes of terrain hear the sounds of the Word, but only the good soil hears the meanings of
the sounds of the Word, understands and bears fruit for God. When the Lord came to the earth, the crowds

The Bible indicates that those who are of God hear the words of God (Jn. 8:47), and those who are not do not hear Him.
listener, listen to the voice of the Lord (Jn 10:3), that is, they begin to exercise their ear to know the voice of their
pastor. In this process, the listener will advance towards maturity (1 John 4:6). The danger of being only hearers is
that the enemy comes and takes away the good seed so that the person does not put it into action and becomes susceptible
to be deceived in their senses (James 1:22).
2. BELIEVERS, 1 Thessalonians 2:13
The word believer is translated from Greek pistis, which means: believer and confident (Strong 4102). The

and is able to obey. God makes a distinction between believers and unbelievers (2 Cor. 6:15), when

The problem of remaining a believer is that it depends on what others do and if any leader falls,

to be a disciple of Christ (Mt. 28:19), because the demand of God increases, and the disciple must be

The disciples are able to receive the instructions of their Lord (Matt. 11:1), they are given authority to cast out
out unclean spirits, heal all sickness and disease (Mt. 10:1), the parables and the
mysteries of the Kingdom (Mr. 4:34), but not to the listeners or believers. The Bible teaches that the law is sealed among the

same (Mt. 16:24), hate his own life (Lc. 14:26), renounce all that he owns (Lc. 14:33), and love oneself
one another (Jn. 13:35).
The disciple must grow to become like his master (Mt. 10:25), which is why Paul admonishes the
Hebrews saying: "for after so long a time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again"
I will teach you again what the first principles are... you need milk and not solid food.
(He. 5:12). The disciples are at risk of being seduced by the Judaizers (Acts 15:10), and turning back.
(Jn. 6:66).
4. SERVANTS, Mark 13:34
The word servant is translated from the Greek doulos which means: servant and indicates subjection without the idea of
to enslave (Strong 1401), this indicates to the person who becomes a servant out of love. The servants have
authority because they recognize authority (Mt. 8:9), they use it to work in the Lord's vineyard and exercise
authority in the spiritual world. The Bible teaches that the servant will receive his reward according to his
work (Mt 25:19), since the Lord comes with rewards to recompense each one according to their work
(Ro. 2:6).
The Lord promised to pour out His Spirit upon His servants and His handmaidens (Acts 2:18), He will reveal things to them.

my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, my Father will honor him" (Jn. 12:26). The servants have
special inheritance (Is. 54:17), they are called to account (Mt 25:19; 18:23), it should not be contentious (2 Ti 2:24)
must be subject to their master (Titus 2:9), they cannot serve two masters (Luke 16:13), they will be around the throne of
God, they will see his face and have his name on their foreheads (Rev. 22:3-4). We must not remain as servants,
because they do not know what their lord is doing (Jn. 15:15), nor what day he will come (Lc. 12:46).
The Bible describes that the greatest love is manifested in the one who lays down his life for his friends (John 15:13), and
He who covers the faults of his friend (Pr. 17:9). To be friends with God we must obey Him (Jn. 15:14).
believe him (James 2:23), be enemies of the world (James 4:4), seek a clean heart and gracious lips (Proverbs
22:11), and love him at all times (Prov. 17:17). God will raise (revival and rapture, Song of Sol. 2:10), his
friends, because I see no defect in them (Cnt. 4:7).

The Lord was going to transform us into a lineage of kings and priests to minister in His presence (Rev. 1:6).
Previously for our sins we were deprived of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23) but now we have
entry by his grace.
a. The door of the holy place and the five columns (Ex.36:37-38) The door was 10 cubits high by 10
wide elbows, it was where the priests should enter to minister with the censer and participate in
the breads every Saturday (Heb. 9:6) the five columns supported the curtain that was at the entrance and
they represented the five ministries that the Lord Jesus Christ established to perfect the saints
for the work of the ministry and for building up the church (Eph. 4:11-13). Each of the columns had a base
made of bronze, which is the figure that the foundation of our faith is the sacrifice of Christ (1 Co. 15:12-

b. The table of the showbread (Ex. 25:23-30) was located to the north of the Holy Place, it was made of
acacia wood coated in gold. On it were twelve loaves of fine flour covered with
incense that was renewed every seven days. In this place, the priest served and ate since the loaves
they were their food every Saturday. These breads indicated the person of Jesus as the bread of life, the food
spiritual of the people of God (Jn 6:35)
c. The candelabrum (Ex. 25:31-39) This was situated opposite the table of the breads of the

that contained olive oil so that it would burn continuously and illuminate the Holy Place. This was the only
a means to obtain light and in the middle of it the priest served and worshiped Jehovah. This represented
Jesus Christ, who is the light of men (Jn. 8:12). He had carved sixty-six fruits that represent the
number of books that constitute the anointed and inspired Word of God. The seven lamps represent
the seven spirits of the Lord (Rev. 4:5; Is 11:1-2) and to the seven churches (Rev. 1:20)
The altar of incense (Ex. 30:1-10) was made of acacia wood and covered with gold. In it, there was a
perpetual perfume, representing Jesus ascending to heaven, who returned to the presence of the Father
to intercede for us (Ro. 8:34; 1Jn. 2:1-2). At the bronze altar, Jesus is typified as the
perfect sacrifice, but here it is represented as resurrected and glorified. Down here He replaced us
in the place of death and judgment, and up there lives in the presence of God interceding so that we may have
a life of communion and worship to God (Rev. 8:3-4; Heb. 7:25).

The veil (Ex 26:31-33) defined a separation between the holy place and the most holy place. It was a curtain of
blue color, white linen, purple and scarlet, with embroidered cherubs. It represented Jesus Christ who
manifested in flesh (1 Tim. 3:16) since as much as we partake of flesh and blood he participated in
the same (He. 2:14). This veil was his flesh that hid the presence of God from men. When it was
crucified and died the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom (Mt. 27:45-52) teaching us
which was torn by the hand of God, not by human hand and that is why we now have access to the Father (He.

The Ark of the Covenant was made of acacia wood, covered with gold inside and out (Ex. 25:10-
11). Typologically it means: that God, through Christ, was present in the midst of His people. The
the divinity of the Lord was represented by the gold that covered the interior of the ark (Jn. 1:1-4), its nature
humanity was represented by acacia wood (Jn. 1:14) and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, was
represented by the outward gold (Jn. 1:32; Lk. 4:18.19).
The Ark was the first item of the tabernacle that Moses received instructions about, referring to its location and time.
the last article that the High Priest saw when he entered the Most Holy Place on the Day of Atonement (Ex.
40:1-8; Lv. 16:2-14), this typifies Christ as the first and the last, as God and Savior from the
eternity. (Rev. 1:8)
E
In the person of Jesus Christ, there are two natures; one human and the other divine, each in its entirety and
integrity and these natures are completely united (Jn. 1:14). In the Old Testament, we see the
man made in the image of God (Gen. 1:26), and in the New Testament, we see God made in the likeness of
man (Phil. 2:5-7).
The word preexistence is a compound word with the prefix pre, which means local or temporal priority.
Existence means; the act of existing. The Word of God has existed since eternity and came to earth,
introducing himself into time in the form of a man to undergo a biological cycle (Jn. 1:14). This cycle included; to be born,
to carry out the plan of salvation, to resurrect and subsequently return to the place from where he came, which was eternity,
That is why the scripture says; that he had come from God and was going to God (Jn. 13:3) It is necessary to note that prior to
His human manifestation had already been on planet Earth, which is why he declared: I came from the Father and have come.
to the world; once again I leave the world and go to the Father (Jn. 16:28) and one day He will return again, as Lord and King.
1. PRE-EXISTENCE OF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT IN HEAVEN, Revelation 11:19. In the book of Revelation we see
described the true tabernacle and the articles that composed it, among them; the seven torches or the seven
spirits of God, which corresponded to the candlestick of seven lamps (Rev. 4:5), there was an altar that was
represented by the bronze altar (Rev. 6:9). We also find a golden altar (Rev. 9:13), an incense burner of
gold (Rev. 8:13) and the Ark of the Covenant (Rev. 11:19) which is the throne, the presence of God, and the covenant with his people.

Upon seeing this, we understand that the Ark of the Covenant already existed in heaven before it was made on earth, for
It was shown to Moses on the mountain so that it could serve as a model for making that of the earthly tabernacle.
This Ark came to be one of the most complete types of Christ, especially because
He typified God who descended from heaven and came to dwell among men (1Jn.1:1). The instruction that God gave him
God told Moses to include the materials that were to be used for its construction, which were acacia wood and
gold. Let's see what those materials represent:
a. Gold divinity. Gold represents the divinity of Jesus Christ that has existed since eternity as

numbers etc., but taking the figure of Joseph we can see that before he went to Egypt

he lived in the world to carry out the rescue.

eternity, Micah 5:2. The Lord Jesus Christ has been visiting the earth before, He has come.
In different ways, sometimes visible, tangible in Cristofanias, an example of this is the case
of the priest Melchizedek, who is described; without beginning of days, without end of days, without father, without
mother without genealogy, came with a body, with a physique and could eat and have communion with
the men. He did not have a distinctly human body because if he did when he was born on earth
It would have been a reincarnation and not an incarnation (Heb. 7:1-4; Gen. 14:18). The Lord visited the

his ministry, the sufferings his death and his resurrection (Is. 53:1-12).
The offerings and sacrifices in the Old Testament were only preparatory, temporary and
they projected towards the Son of God who would incarnate in a human body to offer himself in a
unique and perfect sacrifice This sacrifice offered in complete obedience rendered worthless and
replaced all previous sacrifices (Heb. 10:1-10). The supreme submission of Jesus Christ to
the Father's will was the surrender of his body to crucifixion (Luke 22:42).
2. PRE-EXISTENCE OF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT ON EARTH. The gold and the wood that were the materials that
They were used for the preparation of the material of the ark and were already arranged as matter in the physical world (Jn.
1:3), so we can figuratively say that the Lord Jesus already existed or was present on Earth. Thus
just as Levi tithed while still in the loins of his father Abraham (Heb. 7:10), the Lord already existed in the seed or
descendants of Eve, for it was already foreseen from Eden the last Adam (Gen. 3:15).
The genealogy that Matthew narrates begins with Abraham and ends with Joseph (Mt. 1:1-16). The genealogy of
Lucas begins with José and traces a line in reverse order to Adán (Luke 3:23-38) In both genealogies.
Joseph, the putative father of the Lord, is mentioned, with the difference that in the Gospel of Luke he is named.
Eli, the father of Joseph (Luke 3:23), and in Matthew, Joseph is mentioned as the son of Jacob (Matthew 1:16), the

the explanation for this is that sons-in-law were called sons (1 Sam. 24:16; 26:21) because Eli was the father of

holy one to be born will be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35 N.T. Besson). This is the great miracle of the
incarnation, the fact that a human body could be conceived in the womb of a
mother without the action of an earthly father.
God had already worked supernatural births in the barren wombs of Sarah (Heb. 11:11), Hannah
(1 S. 1:20), Elizabeth (Lc. 1:5-13), but the virgin conception of the Lord was not only
supernatural but unique. And just as the children share in flesh and blood, he shared in it.
same to destroy through his death the one who had the power of death (Heb. 2:14)
iv. And that word was made flesh and dwelt among us, John 1:1,14.
In the beginning was the Word, here is the Lord within the essence without having been derived from the

The verb was with God, here the Greek preposition 'pros' is used which means: with, closeness,
before, close to. So we can say that, in this second dimension the verb was

The verb was God, in this third dimension we see that its divine nature remains.
That verb was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw his glory, in this fourth dimension.
the Lord acquired a body that had been prepared in advance, according to the plan of redemption
(Jn. 1:1-2; He. 10:6). In this four-dimensional aspect of the Word, we understand that the ark has existed since
eternity (Col. 1:15:17)
b.Ark of Noah Gn. 6:15:16 Through it, seven people were saved, and Noah is a figure of the Savior (1 Pet. 3:20).
c. Ark of Joseph Gn. 50:26 It serves to take the dead body of a savior of the people of Israel out of Egypt and
to lead him to Canaan.
The Ark of Moses Ex. 2:3 Served to preserve the life of a savior and liberator of the people of Israel, from the
slavery in Egypt. The Ark of Moses and the Ark of Noah were covered with pitch (Gen. 6:14; Ex. 2:3). The

as an atonement, through faith in his blood (Rom. 3:25 N.T.Besson)

The religious leaders of ancient times did not understand that the Lord Jesus was the Son of God, which is why they agreed
to kill him. They acted this way because their senses were blinded (John 9:41). Today there are still
people who do not recognize Christ as God, but thanks to His mercy, He has been revealed to us.
The words He said, 'Before Abraham was, I Am' remain a great truth.
