ORELL TALK MANUAL

FOR STUDENT DASHBOARD


Student Dashboard
Once you enter your student credentials, you will be directed to the
Student Dashboard.
Lesson View:
Study materials assigned by the teachers are available to students in the lesson
view tab through a drop-down box.
Students can do the activities -Listen, Speak, Read and Write, and send
it to the teacher for evaluation and feedback.

Intro Video:
By viewing the intro video students will get an idea about the lesson.
Listen :
In the Lesson View tab, students can listen to activities, repeat them, and
complete exercises. Exercises are available alongside the lesson in the
Lesson View tab. Once students complete these exercises, they receive
instant results. Additionally, there is a doubt/query box where students can
send their questions to the teacher.

Speak:
Students can practice speaking in the designated section, and if they are
satisfied with their performance, they can send their recording to the
teacher.
Read:
Read the passage or conversation and answer the questions based on the
material. Students can complete related exercises by selecting the Exercise
option.
Write:
Answer the question according to the prompt and then send your
response to the teacher.
Vocabulary:
The Vocabulary section allows students to view key words from the
lesson, learn their meanings, and hear their correct pronunciation.

Reference:
Students can watch the videos to gain additional knowledge and
enhance their understanding of the class material.
Self-Study:
Study materials (levels) assigned by teachers through the self-study option
will be visible under the Student Self-Study section.

Exam:
Exams provided by the teacher can be accessed by the students using this
option. The student can attend the pre-assigned exam on the given timeslot.
By selecting the OK button you will be taken to the questions. After
answering the questions click on SUBMIT button so that the exam will be
submitted and the link will disappear from the student console. Students can
attend the exam only once.
Homework:
The online/offline home works provided by the teacher can be viewed by
the students in this tab. They can do the home works and send it back to the
teacher for evaluation.

Online Homework:
Apart from the normal classwork teachers can assign homework to the
students which they can work on from home at their convenient time. They
can learn, repeat, do the exercise from the lessons on the application
assigned by the teacher ,and can send it back for evaluation.

Offline Homework:

Homework and description provide by the teacher are visible. Students can reply
using the option seen on the right side.
CEFR Result:

After completing the assigned work, the teacher will provide results, which
can be viewed in the CEFR Results section. Students can review and
evaluate their scores in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Listen:

Students can view the results of the listening activities they have
completed and submitted.
Speak:
Students can view the results of the recorded audio they have sent to the
teacher.

Read:
Student can view the result of the exercise done by the student.
Write:
Students can view the results of the writing activity they have sent to the
teacher.

Poll/Survey:
The poll/survey created by the teacher on any topic will be reflected in this
tab. By selecting the name of the vote, poll will be visible for the students.
By submitting, the link will be disappeared from the student console.
Students can attend the poll/survey only once.

Text to speech:
In case of doubts in the pronunciation part, the student can type a word or
sentence and can get the audio output in the preferred accent.

Lesson Bookmarks:
This option allows the teacher to bookmark a specific lessonfor future
reference.
e-Assignments:
Listen, Repeat and Compare done by the students are sent to teacher for
evaluation. Then the feedback send by the teachers are reflected in the e-
ASSIGNMENT tab of the student.

Speech craft:
The Speech Craft module enables students to record audio for the
assigned activity. By selecting this option, students can also view the
speeches uploaded by the teacher.
Report:
Students can access various reports like Exercise report, exam report,
attendance report etc. Reports can be accessed in table, chart and pie format.

Exercise Report:
Students can see the total marks, score obtained along with the grade.
On the top right corner there is an option to download the PDF file of
the report. By selecting the name of the exercise or lesson, the correct
and wrong answers are visible.
Attendance Report:
The detailed attendance report of the student can be retrieved from this
section along with the total number of logins and duration.

Exam Report:
Marks obtained by the student, total marks, grade etc. can be viewed in the
exam report tab. Students can download their reports by selecting the PDF
or Excel options.
CERF Report:
Students can access a summary of the activities completed in the CEFR
course here.

e-Writer:
By selecting this option, students can view the writing activities that have
been uploaded by the teacher.

Model Student
If the teacher feels that one student is going everything to perfection and he wants
to make him a model student, it is possible through this feature. All the other
students can view/hear the model student and access all the activities. Teacher also
has the provision to change the model student later. Student can view/hear the
model student and access all the activities.
.Listen Model Student:

View Model Student:

The teacher can designate one student as the "Model Student" (the top
performer), allowing other students to listen to the Model Student’s
activities from their dashboard using the "Model Student" feature.

OrellTalk Daily:
Under this feature, students can view daily newspapers.
My Profile:
Students can view their profile using this tab. They can edit any details
also using this.
Student Alert, Chat:

Student beep and chat can be visible in the top right corner of the
dashboard. They can click on the bell icon so that an alert will be sent to
the teacher.
