HYPERLOOP DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION
Abstract
This study describes the process of a 21-member team designing and producing a Hyperloop
vehicle. The team produced their own linear motors, levitation systems, PCB boards and
braking systems. A number of technical studies were carried out, including the selection of
suitable sensors as the designed vehicle will be travelling in airless and vacuum environments,
and the selection of suitable antennas for communication, taking into account the Faraday cage
effect. Within the scope of this project, ANSYS software was used for linear motors, levitation
systems, braking systems, composite structures, collision, heat, flow analyses and pressure
vessel analyses. In addition, MATLAB was used to develop braking algorithms. This study
addresses the technical details in the design and manufacturing process of the Hyperloop
vehicle and serves as a resource for future similar projects.
