FIELD INSPECTION REPORT
Location: Aflang Date of Inspection: - 05-09-2025 & 06-09-2025
S No. INSPECTION POINTS EVIDENCE
Observations:
1. Crusher Type:
The aggregate production plant utilizes a
two-stage crushing system. This setup
typically involves a primary crusher for
initial size reduction and a secondary
crusher for achieving the desired
aggregate gradation and shape.
2. Presence of Soil Contamination:
It has been observed that approximately
1 20% to 25% of soil content is mixed with
the quarry boulders extracted from the
riverbed source. This contamination may
significantly affect the crushing
efficiency, washing requirements, and
final quality of the aggregates. The high
soil content could also contribute to
clogging in the crusher or screening
equipment and may require additional
pre-screening or washing operations to
meet quality standards.
FIELD INSPECTION REPORT
``
1. The boulders sourced for aggregate
production contain a noticeable portion
of weathered material, which tends to be
softer and more prone to disintegration
under mechanical stress. This weathered
portion, when crushed, can produce
excessive fines and potentially weaken
2
the mechanical properties of the final
aggregate product. The presence of such
materials necessitates close monitoring of
feedstock quality and may call for
selective quarrying or rejection of highly
weathered boulders to ensure consistent
aggregate quality.

Impact Value
1. It is found that there is variation in Impact value
4 of around 10% between good source and Good Source 18%
Weathered source.
2. Weathered Source 26.83%
