Farm Pre-Writing
Print pages 4-6, laminate, and cut apart strips. You can hole punch in the
corner and use a ring clip to hold together if you like.
Students will use dry erase marker to practice pre writing skills and improve
fine motor skills.

Farm Counting
Print pages 7-9laminate for durability, and
cut out square boxes.
Set out with paper clips or clothespins for
kids to indicate the number of farm animals
they counted.
HINT: Put a circle sticker on the back where
clip should cover to make this self-checking

Pull Carrots on the Farm
Print pages 10-15 in color, laminate, and cut apart.
Set carrots out with a piece of brown construction paper
covering the orange part. Have students pull the carrots out of
the “ground” and trace the numbers on the carrots with a dry
erase marker.

Farm Puzzles
Print pages in color, on cardstock or laminate for durability. Cut apart on
dotted lines and students put them together to practice counting. These are
self correcting with the farm picture.
NOTE: Pages 19-120 use standard wood craft sticks with number written on
them with sharpie for a hands on, clever counting activity.

Eggs in a Nest
Print out all the pages in color on cardstock or
laminate for durability. Every student will need a nest
and/or famous ten frame and access to cut out eggs.
Use brad and paper clip to make the egg spinner.
Students will spin and add and subtract eggs from
their nest until they get to 10. The first student to get

This can be done with just black and white worksheets or with the pond
counting mat for hands on addition practice.

SHAPES: Graphing Silly Hens
Print in color, cut apart, and tape together
the silly hen dice. Print out the other two
coordinating worksheets. Use the dice to
practice identifying shapes then to practice
graphing.

Farm Coin Sort
Print page in color on cardstock or laminate for durability. Cut
apart hay stacks. Have children sort the haystacks with the
barn listing the amount the coin or bill is worth.

Pumpkin Estimating
Print black and white worksheet. Give each student
a handful of pumpkin seeds to put on his pumpkin
worksheet. Have students estimate the number of
seeds and then count them to see how close they
are.

Colorful Farm
Print puzzles in color on cardstock or laminate for durability. Cut apart and
store in ziplock bag. Have kids sort the farm items by color to complete the
puzzles to put the cow with her color milking bucket and color word..

Eggs in a Nest
Use a brad to hold a paper clip in the middle of the chicken spinner below.
Give each child either a nest or barn ten frame board. Put the remaining
eggs in front of students. First student spins the spinner and adds the
number of eggs they spin to their board. Continue taking turns either
adding or removing eggs until one player gets 10 or 20 eggs on their baord
and wins.
