A: I completed my Master’s in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Finance. During my
postgraduate studies, I developed strong research interests in taxation and financial reporting. I
have published two research papers and participated in national seminars, which motivated me to
pursue a PhD.

A: I want to pursue a PhD because I am passionate about research and want to contribute original
knowledge in the field of Commerce. A PhD will also help me build a career in academia, where I
can inspire and guide future students while contributing to policy-level discussions in taxation and
finance.

Commerce. The university’s focus on practical research that benefits society aligns with my
academic goals. I also appreciate the resources and guidance available here, which will help me

A: My research interest is in the area of GST (Goods and Services Tax) compliance and its impact
on small businesses. I would like to study how GST policies affect micro and small enterprises in
Bihar and suggest improvements to ease their compliance burden.

A: I am aware that the faculty at Patliputra University have significant expertise in taxation,

A: I plan to conduct a literature review of existing studies, identify research gaps, and align my topic
with both academic significance and practical relevance. I also intend to discuss with my guide to
refine the topic further.

A: Yes, I have written two research papers during my postgraduate studies—one on the impact of
demonetization on small traders and another on financial literacy among rural women. These
experiences taught me research methodology, data collection, and analysis.
