Course Details: Calculation Methods
(BS6003)
Training Unit: Faculty of Fundamental Sciences
Course Code: HP4829
Course Title: Calculation Methods
Short Title: Calculation Methods
Code in: BS6003
Description: This course introduces fundamental concepts of errors and basic numerical
algorithms used to obtain approximate solutions with prescribed accuracy, commonly
applied to engineering problems. Topics include: approximate numbers and errors; nonlinear
equations; linear systems of algebraic equations; interpolation and least-squares; numerical
differentiation and integration; and numerical solutions of ordinary differential
equations (ODEs).
