1. Cefuroxime 750 mg TIV q12° ANST
ans:
CLD ○ clear liquid diet (e.g., for pre- Give 750 mg of cefuroxime intravenously

 Cefuroxime: an antibiotic
FLD ○ full liquid diet  750 mg: The dose of the medication.
 TIV: To be given intravenously.
NCS ○ no concentrated sweets  q12°: every 12 hours.

TF ○ tube feeding

2. Montelukast tab 1 tab ODHS


ADMINISTRATIONS ans:
Administer one tablet of montelukast once
daily at bedtime.
ID ○ intradermal
 Montelukast: commonly used for allergies or
SC/SQ ○ subcutaneous asthma
 1 tab: indicated one tablet
IM ○ intramuscular  ODHS: once daily at bedtime.

IV ○ intravenous
3. Budesonide neb 1 neb q4° INH
ans:
TIV ○ through intravenous Provide one nebulized dose of budesonide
every 4 hours via inhalation.
IVP ○ intravenous push
 Budesonide: a corticosteroid for inhalation
 1 neb: one nebulization (dose).
INH ○ inhalation
 q4°: every 4 hours.
 INH: Short for "inhalation.
PO ○ per orem

SL ○ sublingual
4. Ranitidine 4 mg TIV q6° PRN
ans:
Suppository ○ anal Give 4 mg of ranitidine intravenously every 6
hours as needed for vomiting.
GT ○ gastronomy tube
 Ranitidine: medication used for stomach acid
NGT ○ nasogastric tube or vomiting
 4 mg: dose of the medication.
 q6°: every 6 hours
 PRN = as needed

5. Hydrocortisone 100 mg deep IM STAT


ans:
Administer 100 mg of hydrocortisone
immediately via deep intramuscular injection.

 Hydrocortisone: a corticosteroid.
 100 mg: dose of the medication.
 Deep IM: intramuscular injection (deep into the
muscle).
 STAT: immediately
