Preface
The main objective of any computer science student is to gain as
much practical knowledge as possible. Developing a project provides
a real-time opportunity to apply theoretical concepts into practice,
and this experience becomes a lifetime asset.

During the course of this project, we had the opportunity to study and
implement various concepts of software engineering such as
requirement gathering, analysis, design, coding,testing, and
documentation. The journey of developing this project has not only
enhanced our technical knowledge but has also polished our
teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Each stage of
this project presented new challenges, and overcoming them has
given us confidence for future endeavors.

Finally, we humbly present this project report on “Primethreads

Fashion Store” with the hope that it will be a useful reference for
future learners and a small contribution toward the advancement of
practical knowledge in the field of computer applications.

INTRODUCTION:
1. Title of the project:

Online Apparel Store

2. Introduction:
There is no denying the fact that e-Commerce has entered India and is here to stay.
Even the small and medium retailers of the country want to ride the wave and are ready
to make a fortune out of the market place concept. It is now when e-Commerce is the
most growing sector of Information Technology. So I have kept the concept of e-
Commerce in mind and developed an “Online Based Apparel Store” for my BCA 6th Sem
Major project.

Online Apparel Store is an online store through which internet users can buy clothes,
shoes, accessories etc. from this website. Users can browse through various products
from different brands belonging to different price ranges. Users have to create a new
account using the registration page or he/she can directly buy products using the
default “Guest” account. The user can also update the quantity or remove products
from the cart by clicking on the “Go to Cart” button, after finalizing the cart the user can
proceed to the checkout page where he/she can select the payment method via
“PayPal” or “Cash on Delivery” and make the payment.

➤ 5+ (Our products are purchased and worn by a wide range of people including students,
professionals, and families).

3. How often do you purchase fashion products online?

➤ Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly.
Some customers purchase new arrivals daily, others prefer seasonal shopping, and many
choose monthly or yearly shopping for festivals and occasions.

4. In general, how do you prefer to shop online?

➤ Over the mobile app &

Most young customers prefer mobile apps for convenience, while others browse via desktop
for a better product view.

special offers and hassle-free service.

➤ PrimeThreads.
The platform is designed with a user-friendly interface, quick navigation, and simple
checkout process.

8. What is the approximate money you spend on ordering fashion products per
time?
➤ More than 1000.
On average, customers spend over 1000 INR in one order, as they often purchase multiple
items like shirts, jeans, or footwear together.

9. What is the process of online fashion shopping?

➤ The process consists of a customer browsing the product categories of their choice,
selecting an item, adding it to the cart, completing payment, and finally receiving delivery or
choosing in-store pickup.

This ensures a smooth journey from product selection to final delivery, enhancing customer
satisfaction.

PROJECT PLANNING:
Effort:
For project development initially the concepts of E-Commerce, HTML, PHP, MySQL and
Bootstrap Front-End Framework has been studied. Then the requirement specification
document has been prepared. Then the proposed model of the website will be prepared and
finally the design, coding and testing will be done.
Cost:
Programmers can complete this project within 2 months working simultaneously. As I am
developing this website alone it took me around 3-4 months to develop and design this
website. Software and print costs are involved in this project.
Resource:
Software packages like Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, XAMPP, Bootstrap Package
and minimum hardware infrastructure is required.
Project Duration:
Approximately 6 Months.

 System Analysis
System analysis is the process of identifying objectives and
requirements, evaluating alternative solutions, and
recommending the most feasible solution for the
PrimeThreads Fashion Store project. In other words, system
analysis involves gathering, recording, and interpreting facts
step by step. The main aim of the analysis is to determine the
problem areas within fashion retail (such as inventory
management, order processing, and customer experience) and
to propose solutions to reduce or eliminate them.

➤ System analysis itself breaks into two stages:

• Preliminary analysis : Initial study of the system
requirements and understanding customer needs.

• Detailed analysis : In-depth analysis of data, user

requirements, and processes to design an effective
solution.
During analysis, data are collected from customer purchase
behavior, product inventory, seasonal demand trends, and
sales transactions of the system using various tools like Data
Flow Diagrams (DFD). This ensures a clear understanding of
how data flows within the PrimeThreads Fashion Store system,
from product browsing to order placement, payment, and
delivery.
 Feasibility Study

The purpose of the feasibility study for PrimeThreads

Fashion Store is to check the possibility of developing a
computerized solution to the observed problems in
traditional clothing retail management. Before investing
significant resources, this study ensures that the
proposed system is practical and beneficial.

➤ The feasibility study includes the following aspects:

• Economic Feasibility : Evaluates the cost-effectiveness
of the system, ensuring it brings profit by increasing
online sales.
• Technical Feasibility : Ensures that the required
technology (web platform, mobile app, secure payment
gateways) is available.
• Operational Feasibility : Ensures the system will be
user-friendly and acceptable to customers and store
managers.

Sequence Diagram (UML) for Online Shopping System
The Online Shopping System Sequence Diagram with Explanation is given to expound
its ideas. This sequence diagram is shown and is based on the concept of Online Shopping. The
diagram presented here will show you a detailed illustration of the sequence of events that happen
in the Online Shopping System. This designed sequence diagram can show programmers and
readers the sequence of messages between the actor and the objects.
