General Instructions:
1. This Question paper contains - five sections A, B, C, D and E. Each section is compulsory. However,
there are internal choices in some questions.
2. Section A has 18 MCQ’s and 02 Assertion-Reason based questions of 1 mark each.
3. Section B has 5 Very Short Answer (VSA)-type questions of 2 marks each.
4. Section C has 6 Short Answer (SA)-type questions of 3 marks each.
5. Section D has 4 Long Answer (LA)-type questions of 5 marks each.
6. Section E has 3 source based/case based/passage based/integrated units of assessment (4 marks
each) with sub parts.

24. If x=k2, y=k is a solution of the linear equation x-5y + 6 = 0, then find the values of k.
25. In the given figure, find the value of x:

SECTION- C
Section C consists of 6 questions of 3 mark each.
26. Sanya has a piece of land which is in the shape of a rhombus. She wants her one daughter and one son to
work on the land and produce different crops to suffice the needs of their family. She divided the land in two
equals parts. If the perimeter of the land is 400m and one of the diagonals is 160m, how much area each of
them will get?
27. Represent √5 on the number line.
28. If a2 + b2 + c2 = 20 and a + b + c = 0, find ab + bc+ ca.
29. In the Figure, lines XY and MN intersect at O. If ∠POY = 90° and a : b = 2 : 3, find c.
30. See figure and write the following:
(i) The coordinates of B.
(ii) The coordinates of C.
(iii) The point identified by the coordinates (–3, –5).
(iv) The point identified by the coordinates (2, – 4).
(v) The abscissa of the point D.
(vi) The ordinate of the point H.
31. ABCD is a quadrilateral in which AD = BC and ∠DAB = ∠CBA. Prove that

(i) ΔABD ≅ ΔBAC

(ii) BD = AC

(iii) ∠ABD = ∠BAC.

Prove that the bisectors of base angles of an isosceles triangle terminated by the opposite sides are equal.
SECTION- D
Section D consists of 4 questions of 5 marks each.
32. In the given figure, OD is the bisector of ∠AOC, OE is the bisector of ∠BOC and OD ⊥ OE. Show that
the points A, O and B are collinear.

side.

In Δ ABC, AB= AC, and the bisectors of angles B and C intersect at point O. Prove that BO=CO and the ray

SECTION-E Case Based Question


Section E consists of 3 questions of 4 marks each.
36. Ajay bought some land for carrying out his wholesale business as shown in the figure below. He plans to
divide this land into 3 parts for warehouse, inventory and canteen.
Answer the following questions:
(i) Find the area allotted for inventory.
(ii) Find the area allotted for the warehouse.
(iii) Find the cost of tiling the canteen floor at the rate of Rs. 500 per m²
37. A school is organizing a trip for its students. The cost of the trip is ₹5000. The school has decided to
collect ₹50 from each student and ₹100 from each teacher for the trip.
(i) Formulate a linear equation in two variables to represent the total cost of the trip.
(ii) If 50 students go on the trip, how many teachers need to accompany them to cover the cost?
(iii) If the school wants to cover the cost with only student contributions, how many students are needed?
OR
If the school wants to cover the cost with only teacher contributions, how many teachers are needed?
38. John recently read a Mathematics experiment. He was keen to perform it on its own. He choose a long
building whose height he wants to know, he placed a mirror at ground. He is standing at some distance to the
building as well as mirror. John height is 5m and the distance of John from mirror is 12m and distance of
building from mirror is also 12m and its height 5m.

On the basis of the above information, solve the following questions.


(i) Write two congruent triangles formed in the given figure.
(ii) Find the distance between top of building and mirror.
(iii) Find the area of ΔAED.
OR
In the given figures, find the measure of ∠B’A’C’.
