HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Pranjali Anpan, Roshni Udasi, Susneha Jagtap, Shon Thakre, Chalika Kamble

Life on the internet is fast and it is impacting practically all disciplines we are aware of. This is the reason why the Hospital
Management System (HMS) we are developing is a complete website solution which supplants the slow, paper-heavy previous
systems that hospitals depended upon. When using HMS, the registration, doctor scheduling, and record keeping are all performed
on a single screen rather than a mountainous pile of paper, which reduces the workload, enhances accuracy, and allows staff to
summon essential services with a mere click.Just think of how it would be in a school project, where each department was
networked via smart technology, thus you could see the schedule of your friend, email your teacher and order lunch simultaneously.
And that is basically what this platform offers to a hospital. With the help of networking tools, the system allows all departments to
communicate or share information with one another regardless of their location. This implies that medics can access patient records,
distribute diagnostic reports, revise prescriptions, or even gain know-how about a physician availability, pretty much wherever he is
in the hospital. All this is made possible by custom programming, ensuring that data is entered and stored efficiently so that work
continues to be smooth, whether in the case of an emergency admission or a regular checkup. With the installation of a web and
tablet-based system, hospital personnel will be able to work with patient information more rapidly, with fewer errors, and at almost
any location. Patients are not forced to lug around heavy X-rays or MRI scans with them everywhere, as all of that is available on
the system itself. Physicians are able to e-mail prescriptions instantly, and these are e-mailed directly to pharmacists, who are then
able to get the drugs ready well before the appointment-and that literally saves time in treatment. The entire back-and-forth of
patients, doctos (and other support staff becomes much faster, more transparent and easier to trace through). To a large extent, this
is one step in making healthcare a digital world. It demonstrates that with caring, user-friendly software, it is possible to reduce
costs, save time, and enhance the quality of medical service and the patient experience. Put differently, HMS bridged the divide
between old-school hospital pandemonium and digital convenience, and is assisting facilities in transitioning out of messy care and
into coordinated care.
