JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF RESEARCH OFFICER /
A.D RESEARCH (26G2025)
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
To assist the higher ups in following matters:-
1. To identify research needs for the department through consultation with other
sections and initiate steps for research which would be useful towards better
understanding of environmental issues; or provide assessment of affairs of
pollution on man animal or plant life; or serve as guideline for working of
department as such.
2. To coordinate with other research institutions
3. To submit a monthly report on the activities performed.
4. To arrange monitoring of sources of air & noise pollution/solid waste and to
prepare an annual report containing up-dated qualitative & quantitative categorical
distribution of environmental pollution, its hazards on health & environment
5. To conduct research into methodology waste / air & noise minimization at source,
control, waste recycling, reuse, attenuation or neutralization.
6. To provide data, training or information to other sections of Department or out-
side it, on findings of the research conducted.
Occasional Tasks and Responsibilities:
i) To undertake any other duties or function assigned by the competent authority
as and when required.
