Part II: Actual Practice (Work Exposure) Assessment

2. Work Performance
During my internship at NIB International Bank, I was engaged in several daily tasks that
enhanced my professional skills. These tasks included assisting customers with
account-related inquiries, processing deposits and withdrawals, supporting documentation
for loan applications, and recording financial transactions. I also had the opportunity to
observe the internal auditing process, compliance monitoring, and risk management
activities. The exposure helped me develop accuracy, attention to detail, and effective time
management skills.

3. Educational Value of the Internship

The internship provided valuable insights that complemented my classroom learning. I was
able to connect theoretical knowledge from accounting and finance courses with practical
applications in a real banking environment. I gained proficiency in banking software
systems, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. Additionally, I improved my
interpersonal communication by working with diverse clients and colleagues.

4. Relationship Between Classroom Learning and Actual Work

Classroom lessons laid the foundation for understanding concepts such as double-entry
bookkeeping, financial analysis, and auditing principles. However, the actual work
environment emphasized the importance of practical application. For example, while
classroom exercises taught me about financial statements, the internship allowed me to
prepare and review real reports. This helped me appreciate the difference between
theoretical knowledge and practical execution.

5. SWOT Analysis

Strengths Weaknesses
Wide branch network
Strong customer trust Limited adoption of modern digital banking technologies
Experienced workforce High operational costs
Opportunities Threats
Growing demand for digital financial services Intense competition from other banks
