We hope this message finds you well. We, the pre-service teachers of
Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics from Visayas State
University - Main Campus, are conducting an action research study titled "From
Mazes to Mastery: Enhancing Numeracy Proficiency in the Fundamental Operations
on Integers through the Math Maze Game."

To facilitate our research, we kindly request your assistance in providing the


names of Grade 8 students under your advisory who scored below the proficient level
in the August 2025 Numeracy Exam, based on the Enhanced Rapid Numeracy Test
(ERUNT) results. This data will help us identify participants whose numeracy
proficiency aligns with the intervention we are implementing through the Math Maze
Game.

We assure you that all student information will be treated with the utmost
confidentiality and used strictly for research purposes. Selected students will be
invited to a classroom orientation, where they will receive a detailed overview of the
study, including its objectives, procedures, and ethical considerations. This session
will emphasize transparency and ensure that participants fully understand their role in
the research.
