reasons if the children do not follow the street rules.

Pre-lesson:
1. Pupils are asked about right and wrong things to do while on the road. A hands up
survey is conducted.

Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils refer to textbook page 59. Pupils match the lyrics to the pictures.
2. Pupils look at the pictures with numbers and say out which the picture is right and
ACTIVITIES wrong.
1. Pupils share their answers on what the children are doing in the pictures shown.
3. Pupils listen to CD 2 Track 3 and sing along.
4. Pupils predict what might happen to the children in the pictures if they don’t follow
the rules.
Post-lesson:
1. Pupils share their ideas on street safety rules.

(when we’re told what someone said). Teacher also adds about

2. Pupils refer to pages 108-109 and find examples of sentences
with the same structure.
3. Pupils refer to Activity 2 and complete the exercise.
4. Pupils refer to Activity 3. Teacher explains that pupils must ask
their partners first and then report their findings to the class.
5. Pupils carry out the task.
Post-lesson:
1. Teacher asks pupils if it’s difficult to report what others have said.

pupils listen and then tell you which words you used. (21st CA)
3. Tell them they will read about Sue’s house. They should read silently and tell you what
they think of Sue’s house using an adjective.
4. Next ask them to read again and to find some differences between Sue’s house and your

5. Ask pupils to answers the questions (in note form, not full sentences) in their exercise
books.
7. After checking the answers with a partner, ask pupils to expand their answers into full
