Lesson: 3

1. Warm-Up & Introduction (10 minutes)

 Activity A (Look at the photo): Begin by

having students look at the main photo.
 Teacher Questions:
o "What do you see in the photo?"
o "What do you think is happening?"
o "What do you think 'The Flying
Classroom' is?"
 Procedure: Encourage students to share their
ideas. Then, direct them to the questions in
Activity A. Have them discuss in pairs what
they think the students learn about in "The
Flying Classroom" before revealing the correct
answer.

2. Video & Listening Comprehension (15

minutes)

 Activity B (Watch the video): Instruct students

to watch the video and answer the true or false
questions.
 Teacher Instruction: "Watch the video about
'The Flying Classroom.' As you watch, decide if
the statements in Activity B are True (T) or
False (F)."
 Procedure: Play the video once. Give students
time to answer the questions individually. Then,
play the video a second time for them to check
their answers. Go over the answers as a class,
clarifying why a statement is true or false.
 Activity C (Watch again): Have students
watch the video one more time to check off the
specific actions the students do in the video.
 Teacher Instruction: "Watch the video one
more time. This time, check the boxes for the
things the students do."
 Procedure: Pause the video on each action to
give students time to check the box. Review the
correct answers as a class.

3. Critical Thinking & Discussion (10 minutes)

 Activity D (Talk with a partner): This activity

moves from comprehension to personal
opinion.
 Teacher Instruction: "In pairs, talk about 'The
Flying Classroom.' Is it a good way to learn?
What do you like or dislike about it?"
 Procedure: Circulate around the room,
listening to students' discussions. Encourage
them to use phrases like "I think it's a good way
to learn because..." or "I don't like it because..."
 Follow-up: Open a brief class discussion. Have
a few students share their opinions and the
reasons behind them.

4. Pronunciation Practice (15 minutes)

 Activity A & B (Pronunciation): Focus on the

"long and short 'u' sounds." This is a key part of
the lesson for improving speaking skills.
 Teacher Instruction (A): "Listen to the words
in Activity A. Do you hear a long or a short 'u'
sound?"
 Procedure: Play the audio for the words:
lunch, short u and usually, long u. Have
students repeat the words.
 Teacher Instruction (B): "Now, listen to the
words in Activity B and write a long 'u' or a
short 'u' for each one."
 Procedure: Play the audio for the words:
hungry, computer, understand, up, subject,
student, music. Students will write the sound
they hear. Go over the answers together,
pronouncing each word clearly.
5. Speaking & Communication (20 minutes)

 Activity (Survey): This is a fun and interactive

activity that gets students out of their seats and
speaking.
 Teacher Instruction: "Do a survey. Write the
times you do these activities. Then, find two
other students who do the activities at the same
time as you."
 Procedure:
1. Students first fill in the "You" column of
the chart with their own typical times
for the listed activities (have breakfast,
go home, do homework, etc.).
2. Then, they stand up and walk around the
classroom, asking their classmates
"What time do you have breakfast?" or
"What time do you go to bed?"
3. When they find a classmate who does an
activity at the same time, they write
their name and the time in the chart.
4. The goal is to complete the two "Student
name" columns.
 Purpose: This activity provides a structured
way to practice the "What time do you...?"
question format and to use the vocabulary and
adverbs of frequency from previous lessons.

6. Project & Wrap-Up (5 minutes)

 Project: Assign the "Project" task as a creative

and collaborative homework assignment.
 Teacher Instruction: "For homework, work
with a partner to imagine 'The Flying
Classroom' is coming to our school. Write a list
of five things you want to do in the class."
 Procedure: Explain the project and have
students write down the instructions. This
allows them to apply the concepts from the
lesson to a new, imaginative context.
