After the arrival of Emerson, Sarah was sent back to the old orphanage.
Sarah was adopted, but she loved her new parents. After being sent to the
orphanage, in two years, morbidity made Sarah its prisoner. She grew
more jealous and darker. The girl was violent and brave. She felt herself to
be Emerson's substitute. She wanted revenge. At the arrival of the sweet
Emerson, fate befell the Anderson family.
It's one of the ecstatic adoration, unexpected delight and pure joy she
suffered after bringing Emerson to the Anderson family. Lily was a
Chemistry teacher at a school in Nashville. She left for school at seven
o'clock to accomplish the day's job, leaving her home to Adrien, her
husband and Emerson. Adrien would have to telecommute for his business
& take care of Emerson. This evening, the sun shone like a giant ball of
solid honey with sugar sprinkled on its surface. Darkness gathered in the
Anderson house while the sun shone on the west. Sarah has returned with
a bouquet of grim and bitter sorrow for the cheery family.
Everything was tranquil and unusually normal with her and the family.
Adrien and Lily were in a room sharing their love with Emerson.
Sarah was in Adrien's room admiring the ancient set of old artifacts. The
most interesting was the dagger. It was encrusted with diamonds and
emeralds and sapphire around its hilt. The bejeweled blade was still sharp
enough to KILL. The house was quiet, like that of a graveyard. It was
peaceful when the glass window pane slid open by a death's hand; she
headed towards Emerson, sleeping like a beautiful about-to-bloom lily
flower. The stab was intense. Crimson flowed from the wound in slow
motion. With every heartthrob, more blood oozed from her to pool on the
floor below. The bejeweled dagger was now ruby-crusted with the nectar
of a dead flower. She withered like a flower.
Lily woke with a start. Benzene, their pet Rottweiler was barking. What
could the chaos be about?
The killer had run away for the day. Benzene had observed the death of
his loved one, Emerson; he was always protective and loving about
Emerson and disliked Sarah: He was intelligent.
Lily was howling with pain, holding the little cot of Emerson. Adrien was
sitting beside the gory corpse with his head in his hands, silently sobbing.
Benzene was sad and angry, peeping from the window.
Perplexity and guilt were on Sarah's mind. She couldn't tolerate her
nemesis. She started acting.
She had been a flower all her days. The seed that grew and almost
bloomed. Upon seeing her corpse, it was the sweet spirit, the soul she had
destroyed.
Depression became Lily's closest company. She wanted to die.
Sarah entered the funeral hall wearing a mask of sadness. Lily glanced at
her with teary eyes and held her hand, trusting. "Your sister's never
coming back again." She asked, "Where were you last night?" "Mum, it
was Benzene.
I saw his mouth blood-stained," Sarah whispered sternly, "The moment he
saw me, he started running, and I went to catch him." "I was near my
orphanage; I took shelter there for that night." "I'm going to throw that
thing out," Lily exclaimed softly in despair. Sarah nodded, fake tears
rolling down her cheek. She smiles on the inside.
They returned from the sombre funeral. Lily went to her room,
disoriented, staring at the blank ceiling.
Adrien opened the door of Sarah's room. "Come to my room for once," he
said sharply. Sarah obediently went up to his room. Confident that she
had hidden the dagger well in a place for no one to find.
"Where is my ancient dagger?" asked Adrien.
"Why, I don't know," Sarah said, masking confusion.
"You were the only person to be here in my room last night."
"I don't understand what you're talking about"
"You'll understand."
"What?"
"What you've done last night."
Fear struck her eyes. Trembling.
"Wh- what have I done means?" Sarah's voice shaking slightly, "I spotted
Benzene with a bloody mouth, so I-" Adrien raised a hand to stop. His
hand threatened her. His look was stern, glancing at her, unblinking.
