SGMP and SG
Signaling Gateway Mate Protocol allows SGs to establish an
association to a mated SG with an equivalent configuration
Mated pair SGs load share or backup each other
Mated-pair SGs must have equivalent SG configuration (same
AS and AS Route Table routing-key).
The local point code of each SG must be unique and must not
match any AS point code (DPC), or any AS Route Table point
code configured on its mate.

Congestion Notification (TFC & SCON)
The ITP maintains AS and AS PC congestion levels.
IP side congestion level is based solely on ASP and SG Mate
SCTP association congestion. SCONs from ASPs are ignored.
TFC/SCON reporting by the ITP is disabled by default, and is
enabled by a global config command.
TFC/SCON are not sent for an AS PC that is a local PC.
Response mode TFC is sent to the OPC of the MSU.
SCON is sent to all active ASPs.
By default, TFC is sent based on AS PC congestion status.
Alternatively, TFC can be sent based on AS congestion status.
This mode is enabled by a global config command.
AS congestion level change is sent to the SG mate via a SCON.

AS Route Table
Set of possible routes to a Virtual Point Code (virtual AS) in
the IP network.
Each route to an AS is prioritized, equal priorities are not
allowed.
Every route is either available, restricted or unavailable
ASPs send SSNM messages reporting AS Route state

To enable SGMP and specify the SGMP local port.
ITP(config)#cs7 sgmp local-port
To configure a local IP address for use by SGMP.
ITP(config-cs7-sgmp)#local-ip ip-address
To define mated SG and enable CS7 mated-sg submode.
ITP(config)#cs7 mated-sg mate-name remote-port [passive]
To specify the remote IP address of the Mate.

Exercise 4: SGMP
Configure SGMP on your SG and its mate.
Remove ASP1 from ASGTT on both SGs.
Bring ASP2 active in ASGTT on both SGs, and verify that the
SGMP sctp association is active.
Bring ASP1 active in ASPCSSN.
Send SCCP packet to ASGTT via your top SG.
Close the sctp association between ASP2 and your top SG.
Verify that ASGTT state is dwn-re (down/rerouting) on your top
SG.
Resend SCCP packet to ASGTT via your top SG and verify that it
gets to the aspsim via your bottom SG.
Bring ASP2 active on your top SG, and verify that the aspsim
receives traffic via your top SG.
