DISCUSSION
To check the potential of the candidates to work in a
team.
Number of persons with temperaments and different
field of specialization.
To test your ability to co-exist with others.
To test of your interactive skills and how good you
are communicating with other people.
( The discussion involves an exchange of thoughts and ideas
among members of the group)
Reasons for having a GD
It helps you to understand a subject more deeply.
It improves your ability to think critically.
It helps in solving a particular problem.
It helps the group to make a particular decision.
It gives you the chance to hear other students'
ideas.
It improves your listening skills.
It increases your confidence in speaking.

GROUP SIZE
The group size varies between 8 to 10 persons.
They are allotted roll numbers or chest
numbers so that the evaluator may identify
them while evaluating them.
Members of the groups are seated in circle or
semi circle in the sequence of their roll
numbers or chest members.

An officer, usually known as evaluator or
group testing officer monitors the
discussion.

Always enter with a pen and paper.
Always enter the group and not an individual.
