Automatic Food ORDERING System

The document describes an automatic food ordering system that uses an electronic network and wireless devices on dining tables to allow users to directly order and pay for food. It aims to simplify the ordering process, increase speed, and reduce human error by automatically generating bills. The system would form a network between a centralized computer and devices on each table that have a TFT display and buttons to select dishes, view the order, and send it to the computer for processing and billing. The key advantages are that the system is embedded, long-lasting, easy to install wirelessly, and eliminates the need for a server to take orders from each table.

Automatic food ORDERING

SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION:-
The model is proposed for the automation of
the restaurants/Caffeteria for order and billing.
The use of electronic network for the ordering
the food can help greatly to simplify the
process and also increases the speed. Bills are
generated automatically which reduces the
chance of human error, also the total bill
amount is known before ordering that can
greatly help in making choices.
AIM OF PROJECT:
The network is to be formed between the
centralized computer and the devices on the
dining table. The user can directly order the
food from the table via this device. This device
is equipped with the user interface buttons
and TFT displays which shows the menu card
and rates.

Working Of Project:
Each device on the table contains a TFT
display and buttons for user input.
The display shows the menu i.e the name of
the dish and price.
The dish can be selected and added to the
order with the help of buttons.
The final order shows all the selected dishes
and total amount.
This order can be sent to the computer for
processing.
Once the order is taken into processing the
indication is given on the display. order can
only be changed if it is not taken into

Why we selected this
project ????
Reduces human error.
Reduces processor cost.
ADVANTAGES:
System is embedded
Long life.
Easy to install because of wireless
interface.
No need of a person to take order
from the table.

Disadvantage:
The risk includes the possibility that
the workers will become slaves to
automated machine
