Logic for Chart
• Starting bar starts from the X-Axis
• Each bar starts where the previous bar ends
• Negative values make the bar move downwards
• Positive values make the bar move upwards
• Due to this logic, some bars may be floating and not linked to the X-Axis
• Ending bar also starts from the X-Axis
Simple Logic
The transition from Last Year’s Operating Margin to the Current Year’s Operating
Margin is clearly displayed by this chart.
This helps in analyzing at a glance, the factors that affect the Operating Margin and
brought it to current level.
The same can be applied to the Cash Flow : Starting with Cash Carried Forward and
Ending in Cash In Hand, with Cash In-Flows (negative figures) and Cash Out-Flows
(positive figures) as intermediate bars.
