It is a Roman Catholic
Church located in the
municipality of Sta. Maria,
province of Bulacan.

It is under the coat of

arms and jurisdiction of
the Roman Catholic Bishop
of Malolos and seat of the
Episcopal Vicar of the
Eastern District of the
Diocese of Malolos.
Early History
It was founded by Franciscan Friars as a visita
by Fr. Francisco Javier, OFM under the parish of
Saint Martin of Tours in Bocaue, Bulacan.

The church’s materials were initially made of

cogon and bamboo, then later on replaced with
stronger and sturdier materials.

By 1972, Santa Maria de Pandi gained independence

from its matrix and the construction commenced. The
church was renamed Parroquia de la Purisima

of Greek architecture can be seen
through the pillars that supports the weight of the
ceiling. It was not exactly built with the little
details of the Greek Architecture but the paintings
of the said pillar is designed according to the
ancient Greek designs.

Most of the Greek Architecture are often raised on

high grounds to perceive elegance of its proportion and the
same for this church, it is elevated to make the view available
at all angles and to remember that it is the sacred place for
our most respectable Creator.
The church is also hinted with Roman influences as the
ceiling structure of the church is a semi-circular arch full of
biblical sights. As far as I can remember, majority of the
foundation of the church was build through the stones and
bricks which reflects Roman Architecture.
