Activity 3. Read the following paragraphs. Rearrange them into a good description of gadgets.
Despite its small size, it offers faster transfer rate than an optical disk, even a

The Simple Present Tense
Reports often use the simple present tense because they often
talk about general truth.
Relating Verbs
In reports, relating verbs are often used to link features. Some
of relating verbs used in the simple present tense are is, am,
was, were, be, being, been, are, has, have, had appear(s), and
seem(s).
Action Verbs
To describe something generally, action verbs are used to tell what
the subject does. Hence, these verbs express actions. Some of action
verbs are limit, give, replace, receive, listen, watch, place, take,
transfer, access, send, and find.
The Passive Voice
Example: The circuit board is protected by a plastic or metal casing.
Active Voice
(With Being Verbs)
Positive: Subject + be + complement.
Negative: Subject + be + not + complement.
Interrogative: be + subject + complement?
(With Being Verbs and Action Verbs)
Positive: Subject + verb 1 (+s/es) + object.
Negative: Subject + do/does + not + verb 1 + object.
Interrogative: Do/does + subject + verb 1 + object?
Passive Voice (Action Verbs)
Positive: Subject + be + verb 3 + (by + object).
Negative: Subject + be + not + verb 3 + (by + object).
