Inverter
• An inverter or a power inverter is an electric/electronic device that
converts the direct current (DC) to alternating values of current (AC). The
inverter is only responsible to convert the DC signals from the battery to
output AC voltage required to operate different electronic appliances,
while the power in the circuit is provided by the DC source/Battery.
• A typical inverter for home use should have a stable DC power source so
as to provide enough current to fulfill the power demand of the system.
Block Diagram
• Inverter is the device that powers the electric appliances in the event of
the power failure. Inverter as the name implies first converts AC to DC for
charging the battery and then inverts DC to AC for powering the electric
gadgets.

Working
• Inverter is the device that powers the electric appliances in the event of
the power failure. Inverter as the name implies first converts AC to DC for
charging the battery and then inverts DC to AC for powering the electric
gadgets.
Applications
• This can be used to light bulbs.
• Can be used to charge mobile phones.
limitations
• This inverter made through the use of this circuit is of low grade quality as
the output frequency varies from the normal AC mains (not purely sine
wave) because of which it can not be used for all electric appliances
like TV, radio, etc.
