Course Learning Objectives (CLOs)
Students should be able to comprehend the force systems and calculate
its derivatives in form of components, moments, resultants etc. in 2D
and 3D.
Students should know the laws of equilibrium and be able to apply
on statically determinate simplified real life problems in 2D and 3D.
Students should be able to identify different structural 2-force and
multi-force members and be able to analyze the forces in them i.e. in
trusses and frames and machines.
Students should know the basics of distributed forces and be able to
analyze internal and external effects on beams when subjected to
distributed loading
Students should know the basics of dry friction in statics and dynamics
hence forth should be able to apply its laws on static wedges.
